Well the way it seems to me, Microsoft has nowhere near the amount of games to be released as the PS3, with nowhere near the variety. Plus, if the rumoured price drop appears for the 40GB model, Sony has a much stronger position this christmas.
With the Halo hype dying down having been released this month, and the new chipsets still not out, it looks to me like the simple maths says Sony has MS by the balls this christmas.

PS3... more variety? As far as I can see the X360 has the largest variety, and it covers a genre that the PS3 doesn't, namely RTS; Halo Wars, BFMEII series and C&C3 series are all on the X360, and I think Ensemble and EA will produce more RTS games for the X360.
Hmmm, this reminds me of LAIR... ummm actually every PS3 game that has flopped; don't judge a game by it's graphics... it still can come out to be complete crap.

Oblivion proved that with the right amount of dedication, it is possible to make a graphically superior game on the Playstation 3. I wonder if Bethesda is out there showing other devs under the 2K Games umbrella how they did it.

I think so.
Until PS3 shows better graphics than Gears of War PS3 has nothing visually superior compared to the X360. Don't even say UT3, because EPIC already said UT3 won't look as good as Gears on X360 or PS3.
There is an update for the x360 version but i dont see any difference with the update.....flipdc5
I do. Anyway the PS3 version also has an option to partially install the game so the load times are faster (4GB taken). Lighting and contrast look better on the X360 but the PS3 shows far off textures much better. X360 version will seem to have anything 20m away blurred while it does not happen on the PS3 because of higher AF. Yes, PS3 version loads and has better landscape textures because of added development time, however the PS3 does not support enough memory to have the download content, therefor in a way it has less content than the X360.
