The lack of faith that Activision & Infinity Ward are showcasing on this game is alarming. It's like they know that no one wants Infinite Warfare or know that it will be poorly received, so they've thrown in this little incentive. Personally, I was planning on buying it, taking the MW CoD home and trading Infinite Warfare back in, looks like I'll just pass on it all together now.
Personally I think it'll be the same price as the original OG Xbox /w Kinect. $499 or £429. It would make more sense for Microsoft to take the hit on the price-up just to get more consoles into people's homes. By the time the Scorpio comes out the PS4 Pro might've already had a price cut. They won't do themselves any favors by pricing it too high.
HDR requires a HDMI 2.0 socket ... the PS4 has a HDMI 1.4 socket. Unless Sony plans to pull some kind of magic technique out of their ass, it's impossible for them to upgrade existing PS4s to HDR ready.
@crashmer: People will go where the power is. If this generation has proven anything it's that people want graphical fidelity and smoother experiences. If the Xbox One: Project Scorpio is priced competitively, people will jump ship from PlayStation. There's no such thing as loyalty in the gaming industry and if the players shift, the developers will shift also.
In my honest opinion. Screw 4K ... let the PC gamers struggle with that. Max the games out at 1080p or even 1440p and have a solid 60 FPS. Nothing ruins a game faster for me than a shoddy frame rate.
I don't like the price tag, but I was considering getting the Elite Console so having this thrown in for good measure is great.
I think the guys in this video aren't the intended audience for the controller if I'm honest. The controller seems more aimed toward competitive play not casual play.
Rather than make acquisitions I'd like to see that money go towards further development for titles they already have, instead of Copy / Pasting everything in their portfolio with the addition of a "few extra tweaks".
I think the next-generation of console's need to rival mid-range gaming PCs. In both price and performance.
As for Xbox ... I'd like to see them continue with this "Backwards Compatibility" thing. Have the console called Xbox Infinite and be able to play any game from the original Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on 1 console. It's hardware needs to surpass or at least compete with the next PlayStation's hardware. Kinect should be optional and the price should also be competitive.
