The PS3 and 360 appear to be pretty comparable. I wouldn't expect better performance out of either one compared to your PC though.

If you want the best cinematic experience on your HDTV, I would recommend hooking up your PC to your HDTV.

How exactly do these consoles compare in terms of their hardware? I was initially under the impression that ps3 is miles ahead in terms of graphics it can produce, but now I am not sure anymore. I heard somebody say that the 360 actually has a better graphics card...I was planning to get a ps3 just for a cinematic experience on a huge hdtv and surround sound, but after checking out hd videos for its upcoming games, I am hugely dissapointed (games on my 7950gt with dual core look better) So, does it really have a big advantage in this category or was it all bull and both consoles already on par with my pc? In that case ill just go with 360

well NCsoft signed a contract with Sony to make mmorpgs for the ps3. NCsoft the makers of Guild Wars, Lineage 2, City of Heroes, etc. I dont think the 360 has plans for mmorpgs.jm1080

heard about that, but screw mmos, I want single player rpgs with very strong storylines. Folklore doesnt seem to have that, knight story might but I havent seen any footage of it. I not too fond of asian rpgs, any western ones in development?

I would suggest waiting just a little longer.. if you're looking for just a shooter and not specifically FPS, I'd go with Warhawk. That game may not have the best graphics, but it looks like a third person shooter form of BF2, except better.

what rpgs besides ff13 are being made for ps3 that look promising? Perhaps the only reasons why I may consider 360 over ps3 are lost odyssey and mass effect and I want to know if there are any similar games in development and will be released soon(non of that gay cell-shaded japanese garbade)

My pc is almost top of the line right now, but thats because my parents needed a computer, so they bought me a new one and took my old one. I am not one of those pc gamers that buys a new video card every 6 months, and I have only purchased a few games I own (bf2, css), everything else I pirate. So, I cannot have all 3 consoles as I wont even be buying alot of games for them, just one here and there, mostly either online games or rpgs, since they last longer.
