It's no wonder the movie flopped in the theaters because it's too niche, gritty and mature. It's not a family-friendly material. Idk what Ridley Scott was hoping for, but it should have gone directly to streaming. What he was thinking releasing a big budget rape-story historical drama like this during COVID lockdown and so close to Christmas season with so many kid-friendly Marvel movies to compete against. Once people were allowed to get out from their homes to watch some movie, they obviously picked something more lighthearted and positive and less gritty than the Ridley Scott's offering.
Foundation on Apple TV is a way better Sci-fi. Foundation despite being a TV show looks to have higher production values than his movie. And I don't see the creators of Foundation to beg for theaters money. 🙄
Watching Monika and Phoebe to look like fooking grandmas, well...they are, a fat ass and grayed-haired Joey and Matt is the most sad, cringy and depressing sh*t ever. Idk who thought it would be a good idea. Plus with the money they spent to gather these old tools together, they could easily film a new brand film or tv show instead.
@P00DGE: 50 year olds pretending to be 20-year old youngsters again for the sake of millennial/boomer nostalgia and fat stack of cash. The fact that they didn't want to film anything else together for 17 years tells that this so called friendship is fake as hell. I am not pretentious, I am just saying it all just looks creepy and fake after 17 years. It's like with remakes : just because it was popular in the past, it doesn't mean they need to dug out the show's cadaver decades later for an additional quick cashgrab from nostalgic fools.
@P00DGE: Why? It's just fooking creepy. They just freaking old actors, not characters. People need to differentiate real life from fiction. They probably hate each other after filming for 10 years or so the same shat. People need to take the nostalgia glasses off. They are old, tv show is done, move on.
