I wonder what other purchase Microsoft will make to make them look like a video game company. People say Sony is getting these exclusive deals and what not but they been working with these company's some exclusively since PS1 days. Mostly because Sony gave them the funding and freedom others didn't. It's going on to this day and I'm sure the developers are happy about it. Look what's been going on with these other video game company's and the crap they put out.
Everything Microsoft is doing now, is what Sony has been doing for years.
Just because Sony has been working with a company for years, and years, doesn't make acquiring the companies any different.
Time has nothing to do with it.
Its all business.
Only difference is Sony is making such a big deal over nothing.
Whether Microsoft gets these games, or that game, exclusive, is irrelevant.
It won't hurt the fact of Sony continuing to do what they have for decades, putting out great first-party games like Spider-Man, God of War, Ghost Of Tsushima, Horizon, Returnal ect.
It won't hinder the fact that Sony (as well as Microsoft or any other company) can continue to buy-out and acquire companies. Its definitely not the first time, and definitely won't be the last.
So Sony and the rest of the whiners can just put their minds at ease.
Microsoft acquisition isn't going to diminish Sony's product, They just have to continue doing what they've been doing.
The deal WILL go through.
The law suits, and blow back is doing nothing, but delaying the inevitable.
Next year, the year after... Blizzard/Activision, and all of its properties will be Microsoft.
And its not that big of a deal. Sony is making it a big deal.
@Baconstrip78: I can do 10 years and an additional 10+ years... If done right.
Give him a chance, before shitting on his vision geez.
Can't be any worst than it already is.
I don't really understand on people bitching on superhero movies...
Maybe its my generation, but I read comic books religiously when I was a kid, and I always hoped for my comics to "come to life" and now that they have (with the exception of a few Marvel movies and mostly the entirety of the DC movies) I am quite pleased with the direction of the superhero genre, and hope they continue for a long time to come.
(especially Marvel movies)
There's decades and decades of potential that can be touch upon...
And I'm still patently waiting for a proper Dr. Doom and Galactus.
The funniest thing is, I know many people on here and other forums and sites on the internet, bitch and moan on how terrible the Marvel movies have become, and how they aren't going to watch this and that, but i guarantee most will be right at the movie theaters on release, or at the very least on Disney+ watching the latest release.
(no matter how "tough" they wanna sound on the net)
Why?!
Because what else has there been at the movies worth watching.
