[QUOTE="Dualshockin"][QUOTE="Taz-Bone"][QUOTE="CwlHeddwyn"]yes lol apparently the PS3 is clearly more powerful than X360 is paying the devs to make the Ps3 version worse lolDualshockin

Indeed. Super computer my ass.

Is that why the Ps3 outperforms the best computers out on the market right now in terms of CPU power?

i'd take a core 2 extreme over "teh cell" anyday.... ohhhh man imagine that X6800 power... especially oc'd... run circles around "teh cell"

I wouldn't advise you to overclock your Pc,there is more negative than positive from doing so.

how so?... as long as the temps. are kept down and the voltages are proper there is very little problem... plus put some water cooling on and a good mobo for oc and that pc will last awahile... maybe pop in a HD2900XTX... or even a 8800 Ultra... and thats like killing a ps3 easy... and when the new intel and AMD procs are out... its over... although price is the downside...

That should answer all your questions. The PSP FF1 & 2 are ports of the original NES and MSX games from long ago. They are pretty much exact ports with better graphicsand are the first 2 games in the series. They are pretty much exactly like the ones for PS and GBA. If you have those copies then no need to buy the PSP versions.

They already have FF 12 out, not just 10. Square Enix is trying to make money and yes bring back some of their retro hits.

TaCoDuDe

thanks, i get it now, but it seems stupid to buy FF1 and 2 for the PSP, the graphics look awful...really disgusting...

Actually the graphics look quite good. I grew up in the NES and SNES era so I love old school sprites like those. Everyone is just so concerned about graphics any more that no one is concerned with gameplay (games made after movies anyone?). These games were revolutionary for their time, the gameplay is amazing and its even better with updated graphics.

To each his own I guess.

Sorry dude I grew up in Playstation 1 era so FF7 is the standard I hold for Rpg graphics that's as low as I can go.

Why? You're missing out on some excellent RPG's. FFVI and Chrono Trigger in particular. FFVI is better than FVII. ;)

i think it looks fine... reminds me of like pokemon for the gb and gba... which i loved... ahh pokemon and my youth... lol anyway... its fine foe a handheld plus its cheaper than the "amazing graphics" like in mgs po... but thats a great game too... i just dont play anymore cuz i beat it like 20 times and got every special chara the hard way... and online doesnt work for me... my router and psp dont get along

well wrong fourm... pc hardware... anyway

so it depends on if you want new games as in upcoming or new as in already out... you could get a nice dx9 card for like $100-200 i'd get the radeon X1950XT just because its relatively cheap and the best dx9 card out, but if you ever plan on upgrading to vista then you could run dx10 which is what future games will use (but they will support dx9 just not look quite as decent) then in that case for best performance i'd recomend a radeon HD2900XT which is around $400 (your budget)... or you could quite possibly just get an 8800GTS 320mb which is still dx10 and still gonna max out almost all games at a fairly decent res... and you might still have enough to buy a vista upgrade disc....

i dont know how i can make this more clear, i am not going to build my own computer!!!

done. quite telling me to.

if you dont have suggestions for better not overpriced computer then dont say anything!

snoopeymaster

lol just do it... ok dude? its sooo easy, and seriously if you don't have the patience to look at how to plug piece a into slot a and piece b into slot b, then i don't really think you should be spending several grand on a gaming pc simply because of a lack of understanding...

plus i'm 16 and i self taught myself to build pc's i mean you'd almost have to try to mess up in order for it to not work...

lastly... you save sooooooo much $$ and that way you get top of the line parts and only the parts you need... plus its useful knowlege... i guess...

i buy into the general belief that this game is excessively violent, however the story is intriguing. I also feel that the video game industry is held to much higher standards than the film and televiosion industries in terms of what is acceptable. I believe that us because of the "interactive" element.....

But in all seriousity who here can say with a fair degree of certainty that even if this game were rated M that it would still get into the hands of children with a fair amount of ease? yesterday i was at gamestop and i saw some preteen convincing some stranger to buy him GTA:SA while the manager just stood there "minding his own business"... c'mon if your really gonna stop kids from getting this then yes it needs to be rated AO or stricter rules need to be put in place on behalf of the retailer.... i mean i've been buying M rated games for ages...

that said i am all for freedom of speech and expression, but this has nothing to do with free speech, this is an issue of "innocence" and a governing body trying to preserve it... haha good luck with that, so called "kids" will ALWAYS sneak into R rated movies, buy m rated games, experiment with illegal substances, and engage in sexual activities, it's human nature... and it's been proven... (for information on this look into the recent conference on wolrd affairs that happened at the University of Colorado and the "issue" that occured at Boulder High School about teens and thier... choices)

so yea... btw i'm only 16...

I'm seriously considering buying a 360 since the ps3 cost too much right now and has better games out. Would it be safe to assume that if I waited till '08 I would get a 30 that would be less likely to defect on me? Has anyone had any problems with the elite, has it red-ringed? any advise appreciated.Samurai_Sensei

lol why wait? seriously... i've never had any problem with mine... and its a launch console... and its not "specially ventalated" or anything... just next to my dvd player in a tight spot... lol all that ring of death stuff is blown out of proportion by sooooo much, i know like 50 ppl personally with a 360 and no one has ever complained about a ring of death or anything...

[QUOTE="xfactor19990"]ok, currently alienware offers 7950GTX, and the card only supports dx9, and i heard of the 8700MGT, how much more powerful is it then the 7950? And i can upgrade to that card later right?xfactor19990

umm ur current card is probably very similar if not better, except for the dx10 thing, but yea you'd need vista and honestly i wouldn't touch crysis with a notebook, it just wont be nearly as good as it could be on a pc.....

yes the 8700mgt supports dx10 and it currently the "best and new" card out there but it still isn't that great from what i've read, and noooo you cannot upgrade the notebook gfx card, it's built into the comp....

unless its that wierd alienware thing that i've heard about but i know nothing about that....

here is my lappy:)

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7600 2.33GHz 4MB Cache 667MHz FSB

2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SO-DIMM at 667MHz - 2 x 1024MB

Dual 512MB NVidia GeForce Go 7950 GTX

and according to alien they do not sodder or whateva they do so the laptop is fully upgradable *according to support*

thats a pretty nice looking setup especially for a laptop.... well if they can change it then go for it, or just get an 8700mgt for starters

The Geforce drivers for the 7 series from nvidia.com should work. I just used some 6 series drivers for a go 6200 and all is well.pcdebol

even though they aren't supported? ... i was thinking about doing that but i thought that the card wouldnt reckognize it
