My mom, who has made me stay in the Girl Scout organization since birth, is also making me do the Gold Award project, because she thinks it'll make every single school in the country just bow down in front of me and offer me free tuition. Sure, ignore my straight A's...

Anyway, I have to interview a lot of people in town. So, she agreed with me that I should start out with people I know and work my way up from there. Well, that lasted for about one interview.

On Friday, I have to interview THE MAYOR of the city. Not to mention I feel my questions are inadequate, I've barely interviewed anyone in my life, I'm going to be nervous and awkward, and I'm totally going to waste a huge chunk of his time.

I hate making a fool of myself.

Apparently there's a website called GreatestJournal, which looks and is run EXACTLY like LiveJournal, with one major difference... it's all free. All of those extra features you only get if you pay for an account/put up with stupid google ads on your LJ page are 100% free on GreatestJournal.

Kind of makes me think about switching. It's not like any ofthe people on my LJ flistactually read my page anyway.

Just learned about this. Apparently there's a show in Japan called "Soramimi Hour," where they play songs in other languages, but subtitle them with whatever Japanese words they sound like.

Obviously this results in ludicrous phrases, which they act out in cutscenes.

This one is hilarious. I don't know what language the actual song is in... but the subtitles start out in that language, then they switch to Japanese at the part where it sounds like the Japanese words "Ano, iboji! Ano, iboji!" which translates to "Um, I have hemorrhoids! Um, I have hemorrhoids!"

So just imagine the old woman is actually saying that as you watch this. You'll crack up.

^^Don't be alarmed. The title comes from probably the most misheard lyric of all time, where Jimi Hendrix sings "'Scuse me while I kiss the sky!" but it sounds so much like "'Scuse me while I kiss this guy!"

So anyway, it's a collection of misheard song lyrics, all of them hilarious. There's a Top 250 funniest list, and every time you vote one "funny" or "not funny", you get taken to a new random misheard lyric.

So, theoretically, you could waste hours of your day cracking up at this site. (Which I'vebeen doing for the last 4 hours)

Even the songs I've never heard of have hilarious misheard lyrics. Like Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights" on the Funniest list... anything that starts with 'Eee-wheeee!' will make me laugh uncontrollably.

My favorite is a misheard lyric from Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit":

First 500 pages = booooring.

Last 200 and some = best Harry Potter book ever. Only one that can make up for 500 pages of nothing with one epic battle.

It ended PERFECTLY. The epilouge... I loved the epilouge. I read it twice (at 4 am). :P

Like many other people, I'll be going offline for the next three days or so, until I can finish reading the new Harry Potter book.

I'll probably also watch the Reno 911! Miami movie 3 more times, which is what I did in the last 24 hours. It's hilarious, def. one of my favorite stupid humor movies. ;)
