I never played Armageddon, but heard it was decent, just too linear.

I did, however, play the previous three games:

Guerrilla - Great game, highly underrated. I think even Gamespot gave the game favorable reviews. Sure, it wasn't like the first two games, but that's what gave the franchise a nice and new fresh breath of air. The sandbox aspect wasn't as awesome as GTA, but it still worked nicely and the game sucked you in with a decent story and the setting being back on Mars.

RF2 - Not bad, great action, but I was TOTALLY let down with the story and the fact that it had nothing to do with Mars or anything from the first game (except for the name of the Faction). To me, it was a run-of-the-mill FPS.

RF - One of my personal favorites EVER (and I've been playing games since 1985). This game just blew me away back 2001 (which is when I bought my PS2, and yes, I know it came out on PC a few years before). I loved the story of how the miners on Mars were turned into slaves, but then they fought back and called themselves the Red Faction. This game reminded me of Total Recall in some ways. The action was intense, and the destruction of structures/environment was something we had never seen before. This game was so great, I then bought it on PC so I could play it on my laptop on the go.

i like how Mr. Orth is indirectly telling people not to buy the new Xbox. He says mobile signal in his area is bad, so he won't buy a cell phone. So if I'm worried about internet connection in my area, I guess he's telling me I shouldn't buy an Xbox 720. Wow, good thing you're not in sales, Mr. North. You'd be fired in a heartbeat

Hey, that's great. But it's too bad they didn't utilize this extra time that they poured into Borderlands 2 instead of investing extra time into fixing/patching Aliens: Colonial Marines to make the game maybe somewhat enjoyable. Or better yet, how about you just start from scratch on the Aliens franchise. Ok ok, better than that: just give the franchise to somebody that will actually "give a damn" and won't just outsource the creation of the game to some lesser developing team.

@grey_fox1984 It's because as long as this game is still selling copies, they are not going to concede to the fact that they released a flawed product. That would be like opening a lemonade stand, selling everyone a cup of piss, and announcing to the public that you pee'd in the juice before closing up shop.

Welcome to the business world.

I doubt Sega will EVER own up, but a few years from now I could see a Gearbox rep admitting to their failure.

@AgentMothman95 @MAD_AI @jasonlc3221 I guess I just expected something completely unique from Bungie since they've been keeping this a secret for quite some time. I'm sure this Destiny game will be truly epic. I think most of you that responded to my original post were taking it a little too seriously. I wish the internet community was just a little nicer and let people express their opinions more openly without being attacked all the time. But that would be like wishing for sunny days every single day. Just ain't gonna happen (unless you live in So Cal)

@AgentMothman95 @jasonlc3221 @Landsharkk @CNKuczek Wow, calm down there Mr. Cranky Pants. So I'm a "fanboy" just because I really enjoyed ME? I suppose there is NOTHING that you ever enjoyed? Sounds to me like you're a Bungie fanboy.

@Landsharkk @jasonlc3221 @CNKuczek Ah, gotcha. So the "sci-fi" genre is what you think is being ripped off. But what other space-traveling game was there before Mass Effect? I mean, there were other "space-shooters" out there, but they didn't put together a fantastic story nor the ability to control where you travelled to in the galaxy like Mass Effect did. Sure, Mass Effect ripped off their idea probably mostly from Star Trek, but I can't think of any other game that actually put together a Star Trek-like masterpiece like ME. It just seems too soon to be giving us another Mass Effect-like game.
