the character Moriarty, who is central to the "Following in his Footsteps" quest is glitched out of my game. i have gone off and done several side quests and he is no longer at his Saloon and the mission arrow went goofy and points to the middle of a lake. I went to the lake, nobody there. He is definitely glitched out of the game. My question is: is that mission critical to unlocking the "Galaxy news radio" quest which is apparently next in the main quest line? I have heard that you can find that next quest on your own and that Moriarty is not crucial for unlocking it....Can anyone substantiate this? I also think there is a computer terminal in his saloon that requires a high science skill to hack, so the info to solve that quest might be in there. Has anyone gone that route? All help is appreciated....

I have played Fallout for 6 hours and have barely scrathced the surface. It is very deep and the character customization is very satisfying so far. A lot of different ways to play this game. Far Cry 2 looks very repetitive to me.

In order:

1. Oblivion

2. Mass Effect

3. Dead Rising (so much to do and killing zombies is incredibly fun)

pretty average for GTA. if the average one lasts 5 minuets there would be about 95 or so cutscenes in the game. i feel like San Andreas had at least 70+. I think you wont notice over time, its not like you have to sit through them all at once. And the cut scenes have always been one of the charms of the GTA series.

the recent contraversy between Eidos and GS does little to shock me as i have been arguing with my friend about the validity of review scores for some time. in general i feel that GS is a good review site but when money enters into the equation, it corrupts everything, as money often does. It is easy to see why Eidos was uspet, even though i dont agree with them. You have your game platsered all over the most popular gaming site on the net saying, "buy me",and thenwhen someone looks up the game and the reivew score you have a nasty 6 staring you in the face and a review that uses the word "ugly" several times. It is a financial disaster for Eidos because they made a bad game, and a black eye for Gamespot becasue the game is heavily promoted on the site, but the review does nothing to support the heavy push for the customer's $. this was bound to happen, i am sure the price to advertise on GS is hefty due to the popularity of the site, but that puts GS in an awkward position when it comes time to review. It forces them to question whether they owe a better score to Eidos because they paid for advertising. It obviously didnt compromise mister Gertsman and whoever approved the review (if there is such a person), andim surprised it led to the termination ofsomeone who was such a lofty presence on the GS site for so long. Eidos should have made a better game, and GS should not have been on the hook to give a good review, because i think that is exactly what was expected or promised to Eidos. And if it was just the language that Jeff used in the review, then it should havenever been posted. If i am wrong then i am wrong. And who knows the truth? nobody. thoughts..............

if you likereally engaging sci-fi story....as good as there has ever been really, and solid action battles then it is impossible not to love this game. it can be very addicting and has a very interesting story arc and the charatcers are amazing. it is the best RPG i have ever played, and one of the best games i have played in a long time. And IMO the best game of thisyear.Just one guy talking here.

Just finished Mass effect. very fulfilling experience. Halo 3 is great, but Mass Effect is a better game. gun to my head i'd play Mass effect every time.

I just beat Mass Effect today, and even though I've said this in one of my previous posts in the thread, I still think it's one of the best if not the best game I've ever played. Plus another convenient fact is that I went through the sex scene with Ashley and all that and I'm starting a new game with the same character and I'm completely satisfied with this game right now. :D

But seriously, I can't understand how anybody would not laugh at the GS review. And at the end I'm starting to think that the 7 that IGN gave Assassin's Creed was actually quite accurate (AC is really fun at first but gets really repetitive and boring later on). So now I'm moving onto IGN for reviews since the 9.4 they gave Mass Effect looked pretty accurate as well.

couldnt have said it better. just finished too and on to the 2nd playthrough on hardcore. laughable review by GS.

I am personally offended at the people who scream "Game of The Year" or "Best RPG ever!" (yes i've seen this in some reviews). First off, its definetly not anything close to Best RPG ever, because its not really an RPG! its more like an fps thats been sprinkled with RPG elements. Yes, the conversations reflect some decision making and whatnot, but if you have ever played FF or even Dragon Quest for that matter, this does NOT top the list. Lastly, those with the GOTY ideas...thats already been reserved for Bioshock. =)aronmauk

you havent played this game and have no idea what you are talking about. Not an RPG? ok genius.
