@bluefox755: It reviewed incredibly well, and is quite widely regarded among cRPG fans as one of the best cRPGs (is the best RP experience games have offered thus far, by my standing), especially from those more story-focused of us. Certainly it didn't see the sales of the likes of BG, but was still profitable.
Based on what I played earlier in the year, when it was in a pretty poor state, this games quality is supreme enough to make it a true successor to Planescape: Torment, and I wouldn't care how long it was delayed if it means it is presented as well as it can be.
@hahaaomghedidit: What really needs a remaster is the Creation Engine. If they would stop reworking their 15-odd year old code, and build it anew, then a remastered version of Skyrim might be welcome on PC.
@Xirtahm: It is usual for publishers to hire outside studios to do remasters, leaving their own more valuable studios to work on original properties. For instance, the recent Uncharted Collection was done primarily by Bluepoint Games, an independent studio that has almost solely worked on PS and Xbox collections, ports and remasters.
I figure if they can make Skyrim look and perform decently on the new consoles, and integrate some amount of mod support, that is a game that a lot of people would want to repurchase. From TES I think Morrowind would be the better choice for a console remaster, but I would guess it wouldn't be as popular as TESV.
I'm not sure what from their catalogue I'd personally want a remaster of though? Maybe an Elder Scrolls Travels collection?
