@Diegoctba So you haven't played the game, you just know the review is wrong? Most sites have given this game 5 or 6. I've played a bit, and have liked Suda's other games, but this is a bad game, no two ways about it.

@Liquid-San @FaustXII I've got nothing against sexism in a game if it is relevant to the story or context of the game, and definitely nothing wrong with some decent fan service (Cat Planet Cuties springs to mind as a show based around fan service that deep down is a charming and remarkably funny series).

The problem with this game, from the little I played, is that it is there simply to exist. The date sections aren't even fun or sexy, just a tedious interlude of looking up and then down. Well, it's as fun as the rest of the game.

@the_hunger I thought always-online had been soundly rebuffed already? Though I imagine their are many other examples where you'd probably be correct, I do think that it's a communication method which has been rejected by the consumer.

Anyway, FIFA 14 is the only EA game I'm interested in for the moment, because I haven't upgraded for a couple of years.

@kazama99 There is a decent amount of zombie fiction pre-Romero, that are nothing like the slow undead that he worked with. For instance the 'zombie' myths from Caribbean witchcraft, which were often imbued with supernatural powers. There were also a few zombie films from the 30's that are very different in appearance and capabilities.

I feel like developers should have really gotten it through their heads - or PR departments - that at minimum a clear, consistent message is a requirement when dealing with the active gaming crowd. There is a huge cross section of people involved in the noisy consumer side of this industry, which is mostly great.

But no matter who it is you're talking too, if you say things like, 'EA no longer makes offline games', then clarify with, 'Most EA games have offline mode', people are going to distrust your message in the future.

@Zloth2 I think there is a big difference between buying levels and buying characters. For this the full game is there, you just have less variation in how you experience it. That is significantly better than, here is all these cool characters, enjoy playing them on the same level in the same mode repetitively.

@Superzone I was a reasonable fan of the first two games, and a mate gave me DS3 and said, 'pretend you're playing a much better version of Lost Planet 3 with some DS lore thrown in'. On that level I quite enjoyed that game. It played well, the action was mostly fun, it was just Resident Evil 5 all over again.

I looked through my list of games I want over the next two years and none of them are from EA. I guess now I'll just make sure it stays that way, but I'm glad I won't be abandoning anything I had wanted.
