@Kunakai: Aside from maybe CEX you cannot refund a game in the UK either, unless there's enough bad press about it's release state (e.g. MCC).

@OniLordAsmodeus: Killer instinct is having cross-platform play with PC. MS would never ever entertain the idea of cross-platform with other consoles.

@jako998: You really should read in to MS's history with cross platform, they're very selective about what they allow. Final Fantasy 14 was shot down for the same reason.

@dlCHIEF58: That didn't disprove anything, MS doesn't have 'much' of a problem with PC cross platform, they were too subborn to work with Sony to enable cross platform between consoles, which was what Capcom wanted. The only time that's ever happened was Final Fantasy 11 and that was due to some loophole that square managed to work in early in the 360's lifespan.

Looks like the folks at Turn 10 didn't quite learn the lessons of Forza 5, they just waite till after the reviews to introduce this BS mechanic.

@i_am_kesmonkey: that last line is kind of sad. Not to mention the earning mechanics in game are now suspect as they will be more grindy to prey on people's impatience. Full retail games shouldn't have to resort to F2P/P2W tactics.
