I'm wondering how easy it will be to tell which systems have the 65nm chipset, and also the quieter disc drive. Will it be possible to tell for certain if an Xbox 360 has both of those improved elements before purchase?

See I'm getting mine in October and it's a gamble for me as well, since your not going to be able to tell. And don't expect the store guys to tell you either. So it's possible that both the new chipped systems and the chipless elites will be out there. I doubt bestbuy will take the chipless ones off the shelve. It would be nice if they did but they won't help us like that.

maybe they stopped production for a little bit and let all the 95 nm chips consoles sell out so when they release the 65 nm chipped systems there will be very few of the older models left.

probably not, since they are in a box. you might be able to look at the manufacture's date it was made on the box but its not going to tell you whats in the actually xbox itself.

i do think it will be this holiday season since all the system selling games are coming out i dont think microsoft wants to put out any more bad xbox's. so they will add the 65nm chip and the better heat sink and make a very reliable xbox 360. for the elite's, premiums and cores.

Yeah, but im asking if its gonna make a difference if u use 802.11 n on live, like 802.11n router and 802.11 n adaptor attached to 360.

evilredbunny

no. your ISP has a cap on the speed your internet connection will go, if the wireless G router can already handle all your bandwith (and then more) then there will be zero difference from using a G router to a N router or adapter. only thing it might help with is if your wireless connection to your 360 is borderline too far and it may have a stronger signal if you use a N router. but for the majority of people if you got a wireless g adapter/router it already is using your max connection speeds set by your ISP.

you almost might see lag due to the host of the game connection as well as other players who have a lower internet speed slowing you down as well. and the wireless N speed is posed to be the techonology that will be around for a while becuase most of the computer stuff cant go as fast as the speeds of the n router allow.

The elites are just as capable of hardware failure (3 lights) as the premiums and cores. They're exactly the same inside, the only difference is HDMI output and the hard drive (which isn't really an internal part). The GPU and heatsink setup is exactly the same.jacksheets
They arent the exact same, they are a little bit differernt and probably more effiencent. peep www.llama.com and compare the boards from a premium and the ones in the elite.

whats hard to understand? it says rescheduled delivery date, so thats when you will get it. it happends when they accidently send it to the wrong city or something like that. had it happen to me a couple of times. it was my city but for a different state. so it took a extra 2 days to get it.

if your smart you take spiderman 3 and viva pinata and keep viva pinata since it retails for less then $50 bucks and you take the un opened spiderman 3 game to walmart and tell them you received it as a gift and you dont have the receipt that you just want to trade it for a game of equal value, then the spiderman 3 game could turn into any xbox 360 game you want. i've done this 2 different times at 2 different walmarts, worked perfected at both stores. fuzion frenzy i think sells for 39.99 now or 49.99 which is discounted, so you couldnt get full price games without payin the difference.
