Damn, thats quite a bit of money you paid. But I definitely can't say anything, considering I was all ready to drop $600+ on a PS3. And I'm sure you'll enjoy it. :DTeufelhuhn
Oh I will. And I'll show you some pics when I get the chance to. It's definitely a very cute and slightly symbolic piece. I think they said that John drew it for his son Sean.
I went to the "Come Together" show they were having downstate, where they have a gallery with artwork done by John Lennon. They had a lot of nice commemorative lithographs (though no originals, those would be hella expensive and gone before you know it). But even these were pretty expensive, ranging from $500-$25000. But being the person who I was, I couldn't leave without buying at least one thing. I eventually decided on a piece called "A Walrus Wading", a very cute little cartoonish piece that I believe bears more than just reference to the song of the same name. But moreoever, I think it kind of reflects my unique personality, which in a way is a reflection to how John was. So, I ended up buying it for $850 :O! I can't say I enjoyed paying that much, but it's great to know I now own my own little piece of history.
