Really? I'd argue that seasons 4-8 were, for the most part, the peak of the series. Seasons 1-3 alone were nothing all that special.
The more time goes by, the less justified it seems, especially in light of the Arab Spring, which is starting to be revitalized in Iraq's Sunni heartland as we speak, and the sheer amount of influence and leverage both Al Qaeda and Iran now have in the country.
If the US military really set out to kill civilians, the death tolls would be staggering. That being said, killing people through nonintention or negligence still isnt a good thing.

Good point. Unlike some other war efforts, this isn't so systemic, but collateral damage and a general disregard for civilian casualties is not much better. To the victims, it doesn't matter. People still died under dubious and dishonorable circumstances.
Let's not forget the absurdity of building permanent structures on shifting sea ice at the north pole (there's no land up there).

Well this is going to make organization a lot harder. Pretty much all activists and rebels in Syria rely on Skype (and radio as well, but thats dangerous to use)I remember many times hearing western nations pledging secure communication equipment, even while ruling out lethal aid. Whatever happened to that?
