So what's the little icon above "Japan Time?"  At first, I thought it was the number 8, but now we see that the other number says 4 days...so it can't be an 8.  It almost looks like one of those little movie player clip icons.  Maybe we are getting a new trailer?

IGN has a new trailer up. HERE Environments look great, but the characters have a sort of choppy look to them (even though they look incredible similar to their movie counterparts). That being said, I agree that this may be one of the best looking Wii games thus far. The gameplay sounds/looks really good too. Apparently EA said the Wii version will be the definitive version...wow, when's the last time we heard that, if ever?

In case you guys haven't seen the news, Halo 3 will be released in America on Sept. 25th and in Europe on the 26th.

So how will this affect Nintendo's marketing strategy for the big 3 (Prime, Brawl, and Galaxy)? We are hearing that Metroid news should come next week and today we found out that Smash Bros. will be launching its new site next week as well. This leaves a plethora of marketing possibilities for Nintendo. I personally believe that we will have release dates on both titles very soon...especially since MS announced Halo's date. So what will Nintendo do? Launch both games to combat Halo? Brawl to combat Halo? Prime to combat Halo? Or will they just stay away from September altogether? No matter what, this is a very critical time for Nintendo.

Personally, I can't decide which game has the best chance to go up against Halo 3. It's definitely Brawl or Galaxy. No offense at all to Prime, I feel it is way better than Halo. It's just not as widely known and hyped like Halo is. What does everyone think?

According to vgchartz.com, Nintendo has sold 6.75 million Wiis worldwide; Microsoft sits on top right now with 9.78 million. Nexgenwars.com also indicates a very close race with the Wii selling 6.9 million and 360 selling 10.66 million. I know these things aren't always reliable, but with numbers this close they seem to be accurate. Nintendo and Microsoft's statements regarding console sales also seems to go along with these numbers, as do Famitsu's weekly Japanese sales reports (Wii sold 102,000 units with 360 selling 3,162 units). Will Wii catch the 360 in worldwide sales BEFORE the holiday season? If it does, this is going to be a very crazy holiday season...actually, it's going to be crazy no matter what the sales numbers are. Clearly, Japan has played a key role in Nintendo's chase towards the 360. The Wii and DS are absolutely owning in Japan right now. Nintendo is supposedly releasing all of their "big" guns this year with Metroid, Smash Bros., and Super Mario Galaxy. The 360 has an equally amazing lineup with Halo 3, Mass Effect, and Bishock. One thing is for sure...I can't wait for all of these amazing games as these 2 fight for first place!

Well I think Zelda was truly a great game, but besides that, I think Nintendo's big 3  will def. be great.  SSBB, Super Mario Galaxy, and Metroid Prime 3 will all be great games.  I expect them to propel the Wii into 08.  I still can't believe Wii is doing this well with these games not even out yet!  Don't worry friend...of course Nintendo will give us some great games!

Wow...you guys have quite a few.  How about I just list the games I'm going to buy no matter what then the ones I'm thinking about.

Super Mario Galaxy

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Madden 08

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (This game is going to surprise a lot of ppl.  They have created an open-world game with no loading screens after the opening sequence.  Apparently there are tons of things to do and I hear that it's awesome to use the wiimote as a wand.  If you are a big HP fan then you know that the developers have been in close contact with the fans to make sure the game has what they want.  Also, the game is going to feature difficulty settings which should please the older crowd.)

On radar: Pirates of the Caribbean, Disaster Day of Crisis, Project Hammer, Nights, and Resident Evil UC.

I have both games and in my mind it's not even close.  Zelda is clearly the better game in pretty much every aspect.  SPM is a great game, but it doesn't come close to Zelda.
