In case you guys haven't seen the news, Halo 3 will be released in America on Sept. 25th and in Europe on the 26th.
So how will this affect Nintendo's marketing strategy for the big 3 (Prime, Brawl, and Galaxy)? We are hearing that Metroid news should come next week and today we found out that Smash Bros. will be launching its new site next week as well. This leaves a plethora of marketing possibilities for Nintendo. I personally believe that we will have release dates on both titles very soon...especially since MS announced Halo's date. So what will Nintendo do? Launch both games to combat Halo? Brawl to combat Halo? Prime to combat Halo? Or will they just stay away from September altogether? No matter what, this is a very critical time for Nintendo.
Personally, I can't decide which game has the best chance to go up against Halo 3. It's definitely Brawl or Galaxy. No offense at all to Prime, I feel it is way better than Halo. It's just not as widely known and hyped like Halo is. What does everyone think?
Wow...you guys have quite a few. How about I just list the games I'm going to buy no matter what then the ones I'm thinking about.
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Madden 08
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (This game is going to surprise a lot of ppl. They have created an open-world game with no loading screens after the opening sequence. Apparently there are tons of things to do and I hear that it's awesome to use the wiimote as a wand. If you are a big HP fan then you know that the developers have been in close contact with the fans to make sure the game has what they want. Also, the game is going to feature difficulty settings which should please the older crowd.)
On radar: Pirates of the Caribbean, Disaster Day of Crisis, Project Hammer, Nights, and Resident Evil UC.
