@Sonicgod I hate Halo and Call of Duty too. I have an XBOX 360 to play games like games like Batman Arkham City and Injustice and a small assortment of Rareware games that were ported to the system
@Bigevil1978 @jimdotbeep I know put I don't have a Wii U or a PS3 so that's the platform I'll be getting it on. As a result I thought it would be nice to have someone that actually likes adventure and platforming games review that verison.
@ChaosAngelZero They weren't supposed to change the game mechanics! Why you and Tom can't relize this is unknown but I'll explain it to you anyway. The N.E.S. game mechanics were what made the game great and a fan favorite to begin with. To have an 8-bit gave still be so fondly remembered and relavent is no small feat. the only downside of the N.E.S. game was that the limited technolgy didn't allow the player to fully emerce themselves in the world of Ducktales. As a result Disney is giving us The beloved N.E.S. classic with all the Disney animation and voice acting they couldn't give us before. They don't need to fix the mechanics because that's what they were able do right the first time. Better visuals, music and story is what we asked for, that's what they've promised us and that's what they're giving us.
@TomMcShea @jimdotbeep I WATCHED IGN's video review. they're complaint witht the story "cutscenes" was that when you would die and replay a level they would repeat and not give you the option of skipping them if you had just seen them. That actually is a legitmit complaint. Platforming games that have platforming obsitcals as opposed to stratagy based obsticles, having a story performed by the orginal cast of the show that explains why your fighting a giant rat on the moon and overal being faithful to the scource material ARE NOT legitamit concernes.
@bgranli Every other reviewer on the Web gave Ducktales Remastered a Glowing review. Even saying that many of the things that Tom hates were actually great. Everyone else is happy with the multiple difficulty levels for old school and newer gamers alike. All the other critics said the controls were great and appreciated the "Hard pogo" option.
I find it higly suspect that Tom decided now was the time to go on a tirade agianst nostalgia when a beloved Disney game is set to be released. What does tom expect to happen exactly? that every Video Games franchise will die at his will and games will never agian be allowed to have sequels unless everything is radically different?
You can see in the Video review he's activly looking for things to complain about. The challenge of the game not being rooted in stratagey but in typical platforming timing skill. Mario never needed to have the koopa troopa attack him in an elaborate attack pattern, why should the goats in the Himalyas be any different? He complains about the Cutscenes and the added and elaborated story elemetns. I hate to break this to you Tom but many of these gripes you have were used a SELLING POINT for the game on THIS WEBSITE.
@DrizztDark Of course, why should I take issue with a website reviews opinion when I can call people a bitch in the coment section of that same website.
