[QUOTE="jmig556"]no, all sony had to do to win this generation was focus on what made them great in the first place......the games. this is why microsoft is surpassing sony in the current generation, they know most people don't buy a video game console based on its extra multimedia capability, they buy a video game console to play videogames.Rakuho

Actually, prior to the PS3 there was no console with so much multimedia capability. and, in fact, some people bought a ps3 for the blu-ray function. But you're right about the gaming focus portion.

I seriously doubt many people bought a ps3 based on its blueray capability. im thinking most people bought a ps3 based on the diversity and quantity of games available for the ps2, expecting the ps3's library to be similar.

the reviews have been pretty awful, so the 360 owners can keep that one. and yes we are getting the shaft on the rpg front.

For those of you who are curious, IGN goes in to detail on all of the issues on the PS3 version in their video review. Apparently characters have a glitchy aura that makes them look cell shaded, sometimes heads disappear leaving only hair and eyes, also sound glitches abound.

If you enjoy talking to floating hair and eyeballs, then perhaps the PS3 version could be seen as equal...

KapG

lolol and they also said it doesn't happen all the time. Also if thats the case then restart once and it will be fixed they said.

Very simple solutions. Don't try to make things out to be bigger then they are.

what are you talking about? just restart the game mid play to fix a graphical glitch, how is that not a big deal? thats retarded, no one should have to pay 60 dollars for that kind of crap.

Seriously .. can not one person scroll down another one centimeter .. this is like the billionth thread ..

Why does everything get so blown out of proportion?

If you're mad .. don't purchase it .. just miss out on a great game ..

JKusanagi

I'm not mad, i just wanted to be sure wich version is better to get it. If i'm going to pay 60 dlls i must be sure to get the best version. Why pay the same for lower quality?

well then the answer is simple and it goes in this order. pc>xbox360>ps3

I was browsing the GS review of fallout 3 and i saw that the game has scaling enemies. I could have sworn in past interviews it was said that they would not be. guess im wondering why bethesda chooses to take this route? there are plenty of rpg's that dont have to resort to this style of enemy leveling to maintain the feeling of an expansive world waiting to be explored. what's the point of leveling when the enemies make the jump with you? i remember in fallout 2, going to the abandoned army base and getting absolutely smashed, later in the game i returned and it was very satisfying to be able to finally explore there. or how bout craftily defeating enemies that your character level shouldn't be able to beat? I understand that they want to allow you to explore a good portion of the game in whatever order you want, but doesn't this sort of take away from the sense that your character is becoming more powerful?

well i wont be purchasing the PS3 version at this point. kind of a vicious cycle here, devs dont focus as much on ps3 because it wont make them as much money, people like me won't pay for inferior ports, sony becomes even less of a focus for third party devs. garbage.
