[QUOTE="joe_boy83"]Do not buy a HDTV (yet). seen as though the ps3 is far from complete, whats the point in buying a hdtv. If for the ps2, dont bother its not worth it now its coming to its end and does not support hd. If for the 360 think again this does not display a true hd resolution, not to the same standard as ps3 will anyway. wait for ps3's release and by than they will be cheaper but if you want the best pichture for the best graphics you will have to wait untill the superior resolution that displays 1080p (progressive) is ready for hdtv. With ps3 being the only console that will support this function untill xbox 360 bring out some sort of 1080p transfer.Rvdecwthug1976
The PS2 is far from being over with, Sony will continue to make money off the PS2 for the next 3 to 5 years, it is not going away for a long time.
As for the HDTV, yes you are better off to wait, wait for Samsung's next line of DLP sets, because they are going to be without a color with and will have a LED Backlight and will accept 1080p outputs, the first one, that is going to be available is going to be a 56 inch one and eventualy a 61 and 71 inch later on this spring.
Go google it to find out more information on it, Samsung HL-S5679W DLP with LED backlight Picture
does not matter how many more ps2 games they make, after the release of ps3 it will be the dominant one, yeah the sales of ps2 will continue as the price of the console and games will dop just like the xbox's price has come down. But as far as i'm concerned the ps2 will be dead as soon as they release more and more ps3 games. It basically comes down to the question off, would you rather have a ps2 or a ps3 !
