I have to question how real demand actually is for the console if nobody is playing it judging by it having the worst first year software attach rate in gaming history.

It didn't even sell a well as Luigi's Mansion 3 for perspective.

Imagine the size of the budget as well.

8 million is not that great for a 100 million dollar budgeted game that is bundled with the console and dropped like a stone in value.

The lack of Sony fps is making them look really weak this gen. Now MS has Doom, Wolfenstein and Halo and Sony has absolutely nothing. I used to like the company back in the Resistance and Warhawk days but now they disgust me.
