u can almost maxed out S.T.A.L.K.E.R with that vga ( 7900gtx ) ... u dont need to upgrade just for 1 game but latter on u can just go for the 8800gtx when games like crysis & bishock comes out:)pepsiboy987

I know I can, almost but not. Maybe I need 2gb exstra ram or a Raptor harddrive. What do you think?

Just found a GTS 640mb version rather cheap, Inno3D. I have not heard anything on Radeon or AMD for a very long time now.

I would like to know if I would get any good performance increase by upgrading my current XFX 7900 GTX Extreme Edition 512mb to the 8800 GTS 320mb. I can't see the point on getting 640mb version or even GTX, before games like BioShock or Crysis are out.
I get almost 12K in 3DMark 2005 with my current rig: C2D 6600, Asus P5B-E Plus, 2gb DDR2 667.
The main reason why I want upgrade now, is S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Voted No.
There is no point in playing this game now, if you ask about Halo3 than the answer would be, maybe. Depends on how good the single player will be, course I hated halo's multi player part.

I would go with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for it's underground levels and superb weather effects! Oblivion and HL2 feels more like a computer game, but S.T.A.L.K.E.R. feels more like real life to me.

Forget about FEAR, go out and get STALKER. Everything is much better, but you can not even compare this two. STALKER has much more to offer. There is no doubt, if you like the mix of Oblivion and lets say FEAR, you would not regret it. STALKER has better graphics, compared in underground levels. FEAR did not have any nature elements in it. Today, FEAR is just a computer game, but STALKER is as in real life, where there is no bounderies / borders (almost), where you leave though a story and become a serverb fighting mushine!
