i just need it to be portable, usually everywhere i stop to use my laptop has an outlet nearby, however...out of curiousity how long do you think the battery would last just using word or something like that?
i see i see, thanks alot. i think it would be sweet to get this gaming laptop, cause being able to take my gaming station anywhere would be sweet. My only other option would be to get a low level Dell laptop for $700 at bestbuy and get a 360 for gaming... but i cant take a 360 and tv with me everywhere.
hahahah sorry, im not buying it for $1700 or $1800 or whatever from gateway. I was just using that link to show the laptop. if i do get that laptop i will be buying from bestbuy because that one comes with 4gigs of RAM and a 320 gig Hard drive.
someone mentioned that it will last about 2 years for gaming. do you really think so? or would that be with using lower settings?
this is one question that has always been in my mind though...
if this laptop can handle thoughs games that are out now for the 360 and PS3 wont it be able to handle any game that comes out for the 360 or PS3 that is also for the PC?
this is good, im glad to hear this. I need portability and i dont play video games that much but i do want to play some upcoming games like spore and splinter cell conviction.
alright the version i am looking at has a 1.8Ghz CPU, if i just turn the resolution down and take off things like AA do you think i will get at a steady 30 FPS in the CPU demanding games?
thanks alot for that review that helps me out alot. the guy there said that the CPU was the bottle neck. He had the 1.6GHz CPU if i got the 2.0Ghz C2D would the games run noticeably better?
and will i have to buy the better version from gateway or can i get a lower end cpu version from best buy and ugrade the CPU later?
