should i go with the gateway or should i go with an AVA Direct laptop with a 8600GT? the ava has a better CPU at 2.2GHz with 4 mb of cache instead of the gateway at 2Ghz with 2mb of cache. so which would be better for gaming? does the 8800 make that big of a difference and would the AVA laptops CPU be that much better than the gateway?
and it made me laugh inside. If this basic card on this guys basic PC can run most of these new games maxed at 30 fps why do people want very expensive cards like the 8800GT SLI-ed? The only reason i could see is to play at huge resolutions.
Do you think a laptop with a 15.4in Display at 1280x800, Core 2 Duo T9300 CPU at 2.5Ghz 6mb L2 cache, 4gigs of 667MHz Ram, 512MB 8600GT, and 200gig HD at 7200RPM is a good deal for $1300?
What kinds of settings can i expect to play games like UT3, COD4 and C&C3 at with decent framerates?
