I was considering these parts from newegg to build my own pc, will the tuniq cooler and 8800gt be too large for the case?

btw - how does the pc as a whole look? good or could be better? and thanks for any help or advice.

I just did a price compare between built vs alienware. With the estimated price of having someone else put everything together alienware pc at $3699 I was able to price at $2771, almost a $1000 dollar savings.

Two things however, I will be using my existing Windows Vista license and my existing DVD player. Everything else including the hard drive would be new...(oh well not keyboard and mouse).

SEANMCAD

thats why i dont even consider looking at alienware, they are a complete rip. but most people think that you can save a huge amount of money on home builtover others like dells or hp's but they are actually close to the same price.

alrighty, i can get pretty much the exact pc from hp for $1,560. the only difference is that the ram will be 667MHz and the monitor doesnt have a built in camera, buit thats not a big deal.

can you notice the difference in ram? (800Mhz and 667MHz)

Alright I decided that I DO NOT want to build my own pc. My friend has a dell pc and a dell laptop and he has had no problems with them, and i must say that they seem to run very good and smooth. So I'm thinking about getting a dell.

It is gonna have a Quad Core Q6600 CPU, 4 gb of DDR2 ram at 800MHz, 500 GB HDD 7,200 RPM w/ 16mb cahce, and an8800 GTX,

Will it be a good rig? it'll be aroun $2,000. (w/ everything like monitor, speakers, and what not)

And if any knows or likes another prebuilt pc company that is better/cheaper, please tell me.
