Remember when smash came out for 3DS and people were breaking the circle pad from intense usage? Nintendo is about to make some MAD money selling joycons in 2018 - 2019.

I'll never understand the mentality of these big name publishers with good ip's. They'll bombard their games with loot boxes and microtransactions claming that they have to make money like any other business but when they are presented with opportunities to make a lot of money while catering to the fans like releasing a Diablo or a thps collection on the switch they refuse to pull the trigger.

@dragonsama:

Considering that 3rd party developers have abandoned the ps3 and ps vita, I highly doubt any developers actually care whether the consoles are hackable or not. Also it's not being soft on piracy if it's for outdated tech that only supports games that developers don't make revenue off of anymore. Besides why do you assume it's for piracy? Some of us like to have CFW for the cool features that developers never put into the consoles like custom themes, mods, state saves, speedhacks or in the PS3's case, being able to run Linux on it.

Hell if Nintendo, which is notorious for its anti piracy methods, had a chance to shut down a hardware based exploit when they launched the new 2ds xl, did nothing about it despite being aware of the issue basically giving people the green light to run CFW on it, why couldn't don't do the same with the ps3 and ps vita which as a result would help them sell off the rest of their consoles?

If sony doesn't care about the ps3 or vita anymore they should do at least 1 more update on each allowing them to be hacked. It would help them liquidate their remaining inventory and let us modders have the ps3/vita we always dreamed of without having to pay a lot of money for consoles running exploitable firmware.

If this is how the ESRB plans on self regulating then we are so screwed. It's only a matter of time before the government steps in.

To everyone saying that people people chose fortnite because it's free tell me all about how guild wars 2 beat world of Warcraft or how warface beat call of duty. People didn't choose fortnite because it's free, people choose fortnite because it was made by one of the most notorious names in the video game industry (cliffy b) along with a veteran studio that actually knows how to make good games (epic games).

Though the concept is interesting, it's hard to justify that pricetag. Modding a Gameboy color with a backlit screen is cheaper than this. If they want anyone to even consider shelling out $100 for this thing the have to include state saves, importing/exporting saves, a HDMI input/output, a micro SD slot, responsive controls and maybe even a custom UI screen with graphic control.

If the Catherine esport scene was gaining momentum while it was offline, it's gonna blow up now that it's online. Hopefully we see enough new pros surface that Evo 2018 will consider putting them on the main card.
