I don't think there is one single Album that I like every track from, the closest that I come to that is probably Dark Side of the Moon or Led Zeppelin 1

The closest I coem to being related to someone famous is through this guy my dad works with (okay, so I'm not related), His wife is first cousins with John Bonham from Led Zeppelin and he met them on a few occassions. Each year they visit that side of the family, and comes back with tons of pictures of Rare signed Led Zeppelin Merch :P
other than that, I don't really come close to any famous people haha.

"Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid." - Frank Zappa. I tend to agree wityh that ;)

I tend to see it the other way around. Life is a giant collage of untold numbers of different happenings somply coming together at once, our human existence is that which imposes deadlines and such upon the flux of existence. By that logic, music is simply reconnecting with that chaos of existence that we have alienated ourselves from.
Interesting veiw point. I think Frank Zappa saw it the same way as you, music helps escape from the deadlines that our human existence has imposed on us.

You may want to research drum tuning and different heads before you rely on muffling. I always think that it should be a last resort, and you can generally buy heads that have less overtones and wouldn't require dampening.
I tend to stay away from muffling drums as much as possible, but I do use moongel on my snare, so try that.
what heads do you use out of interest?
What he lacks in technical skill, he makes up for in songwriting and originality that someone like Joe Satriani or Steve Vai doesn't have.
