Hi guys I have narrowed my choice of laptops down to two which fit my budget. They are:

Novatech X15 GS £470 ($870)

Processor: Intel T5750 Core 2 Duo

Processor Speed: 2.0GHz

Memory: 2GB 667MHz

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS 256MB

Hard Drive Capacity: 160GB

Advent 5401 £425 ($786)

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5550

Processor Speed: 1.83GHz

Memory: 3GB 667MHz

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS 256MB

Hard Drive Capacity: 250GB

Can I please have your opinions on which one I should go for?

[QUOTE="yoyo462001"][QUOTE="WDT-BlackKat"]While those games are old they'll still play like a gut shot dog on those cards. You will want a laptop with a minimum of an 8600M GT. 9500M GS, or HD 3650 to play even older games well. RTW may not be intense on the turn based map, but if you intend to play out the battles you'll need the power of at least a mediocre card.yoyo462001

both those cards will be able to play those games just fine, you wont need a better card. for Rome total war it will depend alot on your CPU however.

Intel T5750 Core 2 Duo Processor... 2.0GHz Processor Speed... 2 GB RAM... sounds OK?

lol i know you want to get your question answered but one thread is enough.

Well they're actually about two different subjects.

OK thanks for getting back to me. I am getting some people saying it will be fine and other saying pretty much what you said. It's really getting confusing/annoying :(

Hi guys I am looking for a laptop and I have seen some which have these two cards. Can anyone tell me which one is better? I only have two games I want to play these are Rome Total War, and Brothers In Arms Road To Hill 30. Both these games are very old (2004).

Can anyone help? Thanks.

Thanks. To be honest I am not bothered about games like COD 4, Crysis etc. For a budget of about £400-£500 ($800-$1000), what better graphic cards could I find in a laptop? The 'X' ones?

Also, how much better are desktops for running the odd game on?

May I also add, what is better: 8400M GS or 9300M GS and why? Thank you.
