Hello guys I have been spending a lot of time looking for a laptop which will performwell with games. I think I have found the one. Maybe. These are the specs:

Processor: Intel T5750 Core 2 Duo Mobile 2MB Cache Processor

Processor Speed: 2.0GHz

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS 256MB Graphics

Memory: 2GB 667MHz memory.

Now I want to play Rome Total war on it, so can anyone advice if this will do the job? More info can be found here: http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/range.html?t=nb&c=gaming&r=X15

Thanks a lot guys :)

Hi guys I am getting a laptop, which comes with Windows Vista. Now, there are probably only two games I will be putting on it, these are Rome Total War, and Brothers In Arms: Road To Hill 30. I want to know if these will play OK on Vista? I have read in some places that Vista is bad for gaming, but I have also read that it is fine.

Can anyone help? Thank you very much.

[QUOTE="jernas"]Wait! First uninstall your current drivers! You can do that in Device manager > Display adapter > GF 8400 > Driver uninstall. Have fun with Rome, it's a great game.Aldouz

I haven't actually got the laptop yet anyway, it should arrive next week. Why do you need to uninstall the current driver first? Is it crucial that you do it?

Usually U don't need to uninstall it, but in some case/rare case you'll find a blue screen saying that "nv4 driver failed..." or something like that... I get that problem with my 8600gt...

So I could try it without uninstalling and it wouldn't matter if I got an error message I could just then do it the other way.

[QUOTE="jono8192"]OK thanks. So had I might as well download it just for the h*ll of it or won't it make much difference?wklzip

Drivers give small performance boost compared to the previous one.

But if you have never upgraded your graphic drivers then you will only gain performance!

... Which is what I want, no?

Just download them :P

Aye, aye, will do mate. Thanks for helping.
