@Poodger It does matter because you need THOUSANDS of games to have all the champions, rune pages and possible rune combinations. If you had all that from the start or even a hundred games in, it would be ok.
You can download dota2 right now and make a crazy build and actually test it. You can't do that in LoL without wasting IP and forget about it if you don't have the champion.
Just to point out how casualized it is, people have "main" champions in LoL while you must be able to play ALL of them effectively in dota to be considered average.
Another thing I don't like is the restrictive metagame. Try playing a ranked without a jungler and see everyone go batshit insane.
The only thing dota2 is lacking right now is the few heroes that are not ported yet and a proper rating system. Maybe a surrender/concede option.
Dota has been around for years and has years of balance on it. I stopped playing like 5 years ago and there are maybe 6 new heroes. Compare that to the 2 monthly new champs LoL has.
Once you play those games and understand their mechanics, you will easily see LoL flaws and you will stop pretending they are features.
