The wii would be outselling the 360 already by now if they could get enough on the shelves. The ps3 will sell like hotcakes when the price drops people are just bideing there time waiting for mgs4 and FF13. I seriously think the 360 will come last in terms of sales this Generation. Halo or not
I agree with a few on here in that that it lost its appeal when the devs dropped the futuristic sci fi theme. This new direction although graphically impressive seems somewhat of a mis match. Very resi 4 like in terms of gameplay but confusing in terms concept and setting.
I really think that this is it for kojima and metal gear. I think he has a love hate relationship with the games, he often describes metal gear as his baby and it has obviously bought him huge success but on the other hand due to the popularity of the franchise and the demand for sequals coupled with the fact that he likes to please fans as much as possible its stopped him from pursueing other ideas of his. Personally im excited about seeing something else from him, something completely new. It would be a shame for a man of his talent not to create and pursue other franchises, maybe he'll create something that will eventually become more popular than metal gear. who knows.
Nice attempt at making yourself feel better about buying a ps3. I do agree that talk of people selling there ps3's over todays news is rediculous though, last week everyone was rejoicing over home and biglittleplanet, funny how the mood changes. Personally im waiting and not rushing out and buying a ps3 at launch, ive got god of war 2 and stalker to look forward to soon. Ill sit back and watch how the ps3 does for abit.
im having the same problem deciding. I can afford one at launch and i dont think theres gonna be a price drop this year in europe anyway, but the games out atm dont really interest me. Im not getting an hdtv until september time so im thinking is it really worth it right now. Aslong as i have a ps3 and an hdtv when mgs4 comes out thats all that matters to me
Im hopefull for some new info, screenshots on mgs4 maybe a short trailer at GO3 in australia march 31. Kojima is keynoting about how technology has influenced his work on current projects. In RYANS latest blogg hes's talks about how they did'nt showcase anything at GDC but there'll be there at this australian expo at the end of march. Cross your fingers for something mgs4 related.
