@pseudospike Wow, Nintendo rant, Nintendo rant, Nintendo rant, Microsoft made a good job with that tablet. You really aren't making yourself seem like you are a fanboy (sarcasm). I don't know if you've noticed, but the Wii wasn't Nintendo's only console. Just like they made a sharp turn in everything with the Wii, they might as well make a sharp turn with the Wii U. But of course, you are going to denie that with opinions that you show me like as if they were fact.

This is one of the reasons why I am drifting out of the gamer scene more and more, and I'm not pointing towards Nintendo, I'm pointing towards the scene. If you have critisizm towards Nintendo, why don't you people tell it to them? Why don't you contact them? No, instead, you post stupified opinions on a site with people that have easily impressable opinions. So much for the ''Gamers are smarter than the average Joe.'' studies, as soon as we don't like something, we bitch about it, instead of confronting it. Look at the people from Operation Rainfall, they did not like the fact that Nintendo didn't have any localization plans for Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower. But because these people didn't sit lazily on their asses, they contacted Nintendo, and they ultimatively succeeded. I also contacted Nintendo for the 3DS XL, they replied to me, so they know that at least 1 person didn't like what they did here.

If you have some constructive critizism/questions, feel free to send a message to Nintendo, they respond, unlike Sony in my previous experiences, and it damn sure wasn't a automated message, because they explicitly mentioned the 3DS XL in the message, here is the link: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/webform.jsp

And here is my message to them, if you are interested, of course, some people won't read it because they are too lazy. Where have we gone that we are too lazy to read? Anyway, here it is:

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to write to us with your feedback regarding the recently announced Nintendo 3DS XL. I can certainly understand your thoughts on this matter and want you to know how much we appreciate you sending them in. While we are unable to discuss about our business decisions, I want to assure you that your comments will be added to our records and made available for other departments at the company to use as they see fit.

Sincerely, José Carlos Teixeira Nintendo of America Inc.

Original Message --- From: <> Received: 6/22/12 3:08:19 AM PDT To: <nintendo@noa.nintendo.com> Subject: Webform: Corporate Questions > Other Hello, I recently watched the Nintendo Direct livestream, and I was a bit disappointed by the 3DS XL. I saw some news articles about it on various sites, and other people were also quite disappointed. Here are the reasons why I, and other people (I asked them.) were disappointed. 1. Shigeru Miyamoto himself, stated that there would be no more re-designs/iterations of the original 3DS console. I am well aware that this might just be what he thinks about the console, but as one of the most important employees at Nintendo, shouldn't he have some words about the 3DS and it's life cycle? 2. No secondary slide pad. Why is there none? People explicitly stated that IF there was another re-design/iteration of the 3DS, there should be a secondary slide pad. There is clearly space for one right under the A, B, etc. buttons. Why was this business decision made? Sure, it might make owners of the original 3DS a bit angry, but they would buy it eventually, unlike now that the main incentives are a bigger console all together, and a longer battery life. And Nintendo made it pretty clear that they are aware of the need of this with the CCP add-on. Why is there no secondary slider? As much as I think, I cannot think of a compelling enough argument to not have a secondary slider. 3. The screen resolution. If you are going to make a console with bigger screens, change the resolution. Keeping the same resolution will just take over the same problems with the 3DS resolution to the 3DS XL, and it will additionally just show the nasty bad looking parts of a game. 4. The fact that is a larger console, for being a handheld. The majority of people do NOT want a bigger console, that's a unnecessary waste of resources, if you are going to make a handheld, keep it small, the 3DS was perfect as it was, size wise, and it should have stayed that way, unless this would have been a 3DS with 2 sliders, and maybe some more enhancements. That is all I currently noticed, along with a lot of other people, I will await answers, if those are not possible to answer, well then, what can I do, I'll just walk away disappointed by my favorite console/game manufacturer/developer. ------ Please do not remove your unique tracking number! ------

@Swagggzz You mean like Milo, the Kinect kid that Microsoft killed off for some reason?

@JimmeyBurrows And they won't completely turn to online purchases, AND they have no plans against used games. That's why I'm 100% sure to buy a Wii U, it may not be the next powerhouse, but it sure as hell seems like a console that respects the person that plays it.

Even though I think it won't be 500$, I think you people should see it from the light side, the Wii U might pack a bigger punch than everybody expects.

How about some new 1st party IPs, Microsoft, ain't that sound good? No? You are just going to emphasize more on the entertainment aspect of the console, instead of the CONSOLE aspect, and you are also going to try and ban used games? I guesd you don't need my money then...

This man needs to get back into reality, I mean seriously, dude, your daughter is addicted to texting, get her some help, 200 texts a day is NOT normal nowadays. And don't get me started on his Kinect, used games banning, and any other bullshit dreams he has. He should really lay of the dollar bill cigerates, the ink is getting in his head.

@Vodoo P.S. If they wouldn't listen to fans, then games like Xenoblade ouldn't get a western release. Look at Capcom, thrre is a demand for Monster Hunter in the west, do they risk it? No. Also they are making either a A Link to the Past remake or sequel, or a Majoras Mask remake for the 3DS, because the fans want it. I'm not denying that Nintendo doesn't like money, but they don't step on the toes of others to get it.

@Vodoo You seem to think that the Wii was Nintendo's only console.

They don't make console that make them losses, because they can't, if they would do something like Sony, they would go baknrupt, they have JUST gaming, MS and Ony have other divisions.

They had losses because they made the mistake of launching a console without a killer app, and also the mistake of putting a price according to hype.

Weird, I could have sworn that these companies survived all this time while used games selling was present, I guess they've gone bankrupt while I was typing this.
