CPU fan is spinning quickly and loudly, ambient temp is at 22 celcius.

FYI I have two 5850 in crossfire right under the cpu! It's also a mid-size tower not a full tower.

Yes it is celcius!

The stock cooler was also running hot... the voltage ive downgraded temporarily at 1.35 for now but i would like to overclock my CPU to 3.8 ghz eventually!

I did not realise the Black edition ran at higher watt then the regular edition, i though it was suppose to run cooler.

Are those case fans good enough or should i get better case fans ? Any recommandations for case fans that run silent enough ?

What about the compound ? Tuniq TX-3 is good right ?

I check for some better heatsinks cooler, what do you guys think of this one

Or should i go even bigger ?

Thanks guys

Hi everyone !

Last august i bought a AMD phenom II X4 965be with 8 gigs of ram and crossfire 5850. All this installed on a Giabyte motherboard.

Now the CPU was really running hot!! I am talking 68 degrees !

So I bought 3 case fans: 2 for front and side intake and 1 for exaust at the back.

I bought Tuniq TX-3 compound!

I bought a CPU heatsink/fan :

After all that !! When i run Prime 95 with my cpu at stock speed and voltage, it still heats up to 60-65 degres.... come on !!

Need help people! Thanks !

Hi guys,

I have a Radeon 5850 crossfire going on right now but no game really needs but for now so i always shut down one gpu. I was wondering, If i enable crossfire in the CCC, and that i am not playing a game at the moment but just in the desktop surfing the web, is one of my GPU on sleep mode ?? I just don't see the point of wasting energy all the time thats why i always turn one GPU off... just wondering, can i leave crossfire enabled, will it shutdown one GPU by itself to conserve energy??

Sorry, i seem to be having trouble explaining my question... sorry ..

Hey everyone!!

For a few days now i have been wrestling with the idea of buying the move. Im just having trouble deciding!! Is it worth it ?

Does MAG use it well and is there a big community playing ? At this point should i wait for killzone and will THAT be good with the move ?

What about heavy rain ? and rumors of infamous 2 and the last guardian using it...

Decisions decisions !

Any hardcore gamers with the move recommend it ?

So after looking around I have 2 options left :

1- The Astro A30 with mixamp for 300$ canadian ( shipping and tax included)

2- Sennheiser HD555 for 130 $ (shipping and taxes included) and buy an Astro 5.8 mixamp later = probebly 300-320$ all together

What do you guys think ?

Astro A30 with wired mixamp or Sennheiser HD555 (buy wireless mixamp later)

Hi everyone, im looking for you opinions on what headphones I should buy. My MAX budget is 200$ and the headphones needs to be multi-purpose ( PC Gaming and music, PS3 and surround sound system for TV ).

First option: Turtle Beach PX21 for PS3 but can be plugged to entertainment system and PC also. Unfortunatly there is a huge 16 feet cord... that has got to be in the way. I can get a pair for 80 $ canadian.

http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/ps3-gaming-headsets/ear-force-px21.aspx

Second Option: Logitech F540-- good sound quality, wireless and 3 input in the base to simplify things -- 170$

http://www.logitech.com/en-ca/gaming/headsets/devices/7362

Third option : Audio Technica ATH-ANC7b QuietPoint® Active Noise-cancelling

Awesome sound quality, can be plugged in ps3, surround sound system and PC, no microphones... just great sound..

What do you guys think ?

I have just built a few months ago a new PC. The specs are :

CPU : AMD Phenom 2 x4 965 125 watt (but for some reason it's getting 140watt) * overclocked to 3.8 ghz and NB 2200 ghz
GPU : XFX Radeon 5850
Powersupply : XFX 650 Watt
Motherboard : GIGABYTE GA-790FXTA-UD5
Memory : Gskill F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ dual channel DDR3

Now the ram has been a big pain in my butt. Sometimes it passes memtest86, sometimes not... i have tweaked the timings and voltage and im having the wait and see approach. Now i would like to order 4 gig of memory more but i don't wanna buy the same kind since im having so much trouble with it and if the new momry works perfectly then I would RMA the Gskill memory.

Would this memory work if ever i put all 8 gigs of ram together ?
