Well, part of why you never get the box/instructions with used games is because people often turn in games without the box. As for it being advertised new and you getting used, that is not cool. I bought BioShock at a Gamestop and they gave me a new copy of The Darkness, but no box or instructions.

I went into a Gamestop looking for COD4. I guess since I was standing in front of the used games section when I asked about it the guy said no. Then I looked at the new games section and there were like 10 copies. Dude never even said, oh but we have it new. Could have been a total lost sale (not like they care) if I hadn't gone looking for it myself. They are seriously not smart over there.

You mean the ones you've unlocked? I don't think so, I think you have to unlock them again.

I'd say Bioshock is creepy rather than scary. At the same time, I have yet to be scared by a videogame.

I am a huge fan of this game. The gameplay is good, the story is compelling, the themes are advanced, and the setting is awesome. What's not to love?

Bashed by whom? Reviewers bashed it because there are some problems with the mechanics, the AI isn't great, and it's not as open as people expected (lets be honest, it is actually a pretty linear game when compared to something like Oblivion). Parental/Rating groups bashed it because it has 2 minutes of PG-13 sex and they need something to blame societies ills on.

I always hated when someone decided to split RPG to WRPG and JRPG. In my opinion Mass Effect is an action-adventure game and Oblivion is a first-person dungeon crawler, or first-person shooter with swords and magic.Spindoc_SEI

It is the similarities between these games that makes them all RPGs. Leveling engines and experience points, item collection and slotting, ect...

If you simply consider that the J stands for Japanese, as in, derived from Japanese culture, it all gets a lot less convoluted than people make it.

I'd agree with Gen007. While the major gameplay difference (and thus the difference most people focus on) is the whole turn based vs real time combat, the real difference is storyline and themes. JRPGs, like much of Japanese pop-culture, are derived from Manga so the look and feel of the game is a bit more Manga/Animeish. Certain themes (like the soul) and heavy reliance on symbolism are also mainstays of JRPGs.

Right now GTAIV, Force Unleashed, and R6V2 are the heavy hitters on my list. I'll probably also pick up Devil May Cry 4, Tiberium (if it actually comes out this year), and Tomb Raider (also pending an actual release).

I've also still got to get my hands on COD4.
