I've seen many people high on pot swerving on the road thus allowing me to pull them over and---lo and behold!---find that they either have a blunt somewhere on their persons, or they reek of it.
Seandog123 is right, I just finished an essay comparing alcohol to marijuana while driving. Drinking 5oz of wine impairs your driving more than smoking 1 joint. Not to mention that marijuana makes you a more conservative driver, while alcohol makes you a more aggressive driver, hence more dangerous...
Could you imagine going to your local corner store and picking up some cocaine with your hot sub? :P Anyways, thinking about legalizing drugs, the only benefit I could see coming from this is that it would completely destroy drug cartels. If one can buy cocaine legally at the corner store, why would you risk dealing with some dodgy drug dealer in a dark alley? But at the same time, some drugs have some truly frightening effects, and I'm glad they are not legalized. Drugs like LSD can alter the mind of a person to the point that they become extremely violent and a threat to others. Sure alcohol can have the same effect on people, but its a much more muted effected, and the fact that it's so easy to OD and die from drugs practically ensures that the government will never legalize all drugs. I think that less "dangerous" drugs like Weed should be legalized though. have you actually ever done LSD? Believe me its hardly violent, When you are on LSD you just want to go chill in your room, listen to the beatles, play guitars and write poetry. And they wouldn't sell drugs at grocery stores, there would be special stores for drugs, age limits, and so on. It bugs me when people have NO personal experience with drugs and they talk like they have a degree or have even ever used them for whatever reasons...
I hate people that oppose abortion. What your saying is that if a girl were to get raped, she can't decide to abort it? Thats when we get people getting them done with rusty hangars and dying. What if it were your daughter that got raped? Would you still be pro-life? The decision should be the mothers..Or what if there was a miscarrage and the doctors told you that your daughter would die if she didn't get an abortion? This situations happen more than you think.
this makes me embarrassed to leave in the US. good thing i live in south cali tho lol. spice is legal here its a "different" high than weed, but still makes you feel mellow. Seven years though is outrageous, they might as well start putting an age limit for purchasing sharpies and gluesticks.
