Get an xfx 9800 gt its only $100. and its a OC'ing dream. I got it from 600/900 to 720/1012 mhz. It plays crysis warhead on all high at around 30 fps

I have crysis and crysis warhead. my specs are in my sig, and i get 20-50 fps on high/very high or enthusisust. But I oc'd the crap out of my gpu. you could play with all settings at medium and res at 800x600 and get MAYBE 25 fps.

Here is the gpu I have and its pretty sick. I don't know the rest of your specs, but with http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4209965&CatId=3585 it plays cod waw, cod 4, left 4 dead, grid, bioshock, fear 2, at max or almost max settings, in cod 4 i get anywhere from 90-300 fps ingame, max settings at 1440x900 res. I highly reccommend this card, I oc'd it to 715 mhz core, and from 900 mem to 1020 mhz. Its an overclockers dream, and I also play crysis warhead on high/enthus at 800x600 res, and get 20-60 fps, after overclock!

no matter what graphics card you get, it will be SEVERELY bottlenecked by your Pentium 4. You would end up spending around $300 to upgrade your cpu, psu, and gpu. dell optiplex's suck. we have them at school not to mention you'd have to upgrade your ram. I'm sorry, but don't expect to play any modern games. Get at least a duo 3 ghz, a nvidia 9 series, 2-4 gig ram, and then like a cooler master 600 watt psu.

Is it the "24 hour", because we have one at our school, but only for film ed. youd best spend the $30 on the OB. have fun!

What kind of improvement can I expect from a AMD triple core @ 2.1ghz to quad? And how much fps gain in games? please recommend quad cores and what the difference would be! Also I need a new mobo, what should I get and will it add improvements to gaming? like increase in FPS? How will it do with crysis warhead?

I am currently looking for a motherboard uprade because I think the rest of my comp is good. I will post links for each part of my comp so I can get recommendations for what I need to upgrade. Also the ones with links are what I have already upgraded. But first, my mobo is one from a slim pc ( i think its bottlenecking my pc) my specs are in my sig.
