A single card setup is the best route, unless you are going for insanely high resolutions. Just save your money for something later on. $170 towards a high end card in the future is a better idea.

thats what I was leaning towards, I wouldn't need it for a while..I think my comp should be maxing out for the next year, and thats all that matters..next year at this time I'll be in the army..
I have a single gigabyte 5830 and was wondering if another one in crossfire would be a significant jump. I was looking to do this in the somewhat near future, but I've heard of issues with these in crossfires. So will this be fixed in new catalyst drivers or is it something hardware related?I can grab another for around $170 too.
I recently upgraded my computer (amd x4 965, and a gigabyte 5830) and I got my a brand new xfx 9800gt that I got back from a warranty..I was thinking about selling it for around $80 then putting that towards another 5830. So I have 2 questions
1). If I get another 5830 will I see a performance jump? I game at 1680x1050 btw.
2.) Since I have the Gigabyte version, can I get a 5830 of a different brand?
3).What would you guys do? Also my psu is only 600watts, will it be able to handle another?

Definately, although why did you buy a 5830? It's the demented version of a 5850 and rather unnecessary.

I found it brand new on ebay for $165, it was between it and the 5770, so obviously the 5830 won. I can max out BFBC2 with 30-80 fps, so it works for me..
I recently upgraded my PC and was thinking about picking up "Crysis Maximum Edition" It comes with Crysis and Crysis Warhead, on steam for $39.99). Is it still worth it to pick up? Does it have multiplayer? Also how do you guys think it would fair on my comp?
some old military game, it took place at night and was really gory (i musta been age 5 at the time). It was a demo and the enemy were always wearing bright clothes, if anyone knows what game this is please let me know I'd love to try and find it!
