@Max_Rage Characters aren't needed for a good story. I loved Skyrim's narrative, but it's characters were completely forgettable.

@crusaderprophet @smokeless_0225 @ditronus Except, the classes don't play the same at all. I've played as all six, and there is a tremendous amount of difference. The fact that you think the supers are all the same aside from animations tells me a lot.

@smokeless_0225 Destiny is the first game in a Sci-Fi franchise, they always leave a lot of unanswered questions that subsequent games expand upon. Halo: CE, for example, introduced us to the Covenant but literally told us nothing about them other than the fact that they were at war with humanity. We were given no insight into their motives, religion, politics, culture, or history at all. The same with the Forerunners, the UNSC, etc. Gears of War, Crysis, etc. did the same thing.

@Tsuchikage How so? The plot was obvious, and was set in the first 30 minutes of the game.

Or, the more obvious answer; The plot isn't lackluster at all. Frankly, every review I've seen that actually lists specific problems they had with the plot tells me that they didn't pay much attention to the dialogue, the mission and item descriptions, or that they totally misinterpreted certain portions of the cinematics like our meeting with the Speaker and the Stranger.

@Def-Trex @jts1891 Oh, I agree. But that doesn't change my point.

So, the story is pretty much incoherent, but it gets a perfect 10 because the author enjoyed it so much. If I didn't already know the number-based score system was ridiculous broken already, I'd know it now. That's not to say that this game doesn't deserve a 10, but I've seen other reviewers take a ridiculous amount of points from games for not having a story they considered to be up to par even when they found no other flaws.

This is amusing. People need to realize that EA never lost gamers. Sure, the vocal minority who make themselves known in forums and comment sections despite EA, but the vast majority of gamers couldn't care less.

@Darksimm @jts1891 @dcaseng Quotes, please. I've asked everyone who has made this claim the same thing, and I've yet to get them. There is a difference between promoting their game, and claiming it's going to revolutionize the world.
