So i was looking around for a GC controller to buy online, and I keep finding these generic GC controller clones such as this one. Anyone know anything about these? I think I'm just going to get an original regardless but wondering if anyone knows if those were any good.

Yeah i haven't done anything different here than I did when I played before. Same remotes, M+'s, everything. The only difference is the TV. I'll be heading back to my apartment in a few days and I'll see if it magically seems to be working better. But the M+ works fine with all the other games on both TVs

ok so since their release I've had Grand Slam and Virtua Tennis 2009 with the M+, and i always had calibration issues with GST (the many times I played it) and was a huge fan of VT2009. Just last week I played with a friend just to show him how bad GST was and we couldn't get more than a 2-shot rally going because the player would never swing or swing and miss.

But... a few days ago I played with my brother to show him how bad it was, and it worked like a charm! we've been playing online doubles and its been working great and really a lot of fun. The only difference between my previous plays and this time is now im at home playing on a 65" screen compared to my 26" at my apartment... could this have any effect on the M+ working better? It doesn't seem to make a difference for VT, WSR, or TW09..

they really need to innovate if theres a mario party 9 - or just come up with a new minigame series. the MP8 games were mostly fun but the boards just took soo longg.. you would play for an hour to maybe get 10 minutes of actual minigame play

you probably won't read any of these comments for a week because you'll be too busy playing non-stop! great choice!

Yeah this has happened to me many times, wii is still working fine though so I wouldn't worry about it. If it starts to happen a lot you might want to grab the wii lens cleaning kit

[QUOTE="Michael-Smith"]I honestly think the Miis are a missed opportunity. Maybe next console they'll make them good. Unlockable Mii parts (clothing, hair styles, etc) would be a great thing for Nintendo to add in to their games. Even third parties could do it. Like take No More Heroes, for example. You could unlock the different tee shirts for your Miis (the game just copies the appropriate file to the Wii). Then they need to DO something with the Miis. Games that use them like WiiSports are good, but I think something where you can run around online with other people's Miis and do stuff would be fun. Heck, they could even let your Mii have a pet to follow you around that can be unlocked with certain games (Mario gives goomba/koopa pets, Metroid gives a pet Metroid, Pokemon has a bazillion to choose from, etc.) Of course, it's too late for the Wii to get something like this, as it needs to be designed into the system itself. I just think it's a cool idea. Hopefully our next system will have something like this.

these are great ideas and really should have been implemented - they should at least have had some customizable clothes from the beginning. but playing mario galaxy and unlocking a mario hat or something would be pretty cool. the wii sports games and MK have used the mii's well, but that's about it. FIFA had a mii match mode that was cool too, but so much more could've been done

ive heard channel 11 works too. but channel 1 is your safe bet - if not try to restore default/factory settings and that usually fixes it

the wii wheel and zapper are just pieces of plastic and will never be required.. there are a lot of junk accessories out there such as the wii sports package, but a balance board and a motion plus? not too many if you ask me.
