@jurewicz88: regardless of financial woes, Square most definitely has a product people will buy. Thus, I don't buy the idea that they're hurting for money and therefore can only distribute this in episodes. . .
Capital is something businesses can struggle with. The money needed to jumpstart an idea, vision, etc. . . A solid product, though, will pay off big time. Spend money upfront and do it "right", it will surely pay off
@steveaug13: You can't make everyone happy. People will always have something to complain about. This is nothing new. Hopefully Square is smart enough to make the decisions that best emulate the majority of their players.
People should rightly fear anything that exemplifies a subscription-like service, "season pass", or anything that seems to merely chop up a product that could have been packaged as one.
Good things (should) come to those who wait. I actually believe people are more willing to wait on a better, more polished product rather than having it "NOW!" As long as it doesn't turn out like the latest Batman. . .
@steveaug13: "Besides, all of this is pure speculation. . ."
LOL! Just like, "Square Enix in all likelihood does not have the money to pull off a FFVII remake in its entirety, so bringing the game to us episodically means they have a constant influx of cash after each instalment to plough back into the development of the rest of the game. That, and by releasing the game in episodes, they'll be able to have each part with us faster, rather than making us wait until the entire game is complete. . ."
Your diatribe was almost entirely built on speculation. Less you have support, nothing you've stated stands.
