I have two SSD's in my rig and it has been worth it for me. (I have an external hooked up via eSATA for big files) The advantages of SSD's are tangible. They are fast, power efficient and do not have moving parts. Then there are the disadvantages. High cost and limited number of write cycles. I personally think it is worth it having an SSD, even if it's a low capacity drive for booting Windows. Combine that with UEFI and you have a pretty speedy boot up.

I recommend you wait. Sandy Bridge came out and the Macbook's should be getting an update soon.

The video game industry is filped whiners and people unwilling to change. The movie industry was being hit pretty hard until something called Netflix came around. Same thing for music and iTunes. Yes, there is still movie and muaic piracy but both imdustries have learned to adapt and bring new service to woo people. Both Netflix and iTunes are very profitable regardless of piracy. Perhaps Steam is the Netflix of gaming.

It's good that casuals are being guided to learn to play. This increases the pool of knowledgabpe players which in the end improves the game experience for everyone. I will admit however that the game lost alot its casual friendly atmosphere. I enjoy playing casually as I can play a my own leisure. Shoupd Blizzard make things easier? Yes. They already are, tweaking things here and there. At the same time, I want the game to still have a measure of difficulty. It makes it all the more satisfying when you down a raid boss and such. As for the DPS queue times, Blizzard needs to buff up tanks and heals. I am a Paladin tank and I am too dependent on the skill and gear of the healer. Even with heal spec + judge, I am taking too much damage. Perhaps implement a spell damage reduction talent, say 15% spell damage reduce. I have the TB tanking trinket and while it's nice, I lose quite a bit of stam.

To me, the Cataclysm heroics have been very easy. It took me only 3 days to master all of the heroics and know what each mob and boss does. Then again, my skill set isn't average by any means. The biggest problem I see is that people don't have the proper gear. Lots of ungemmed pieces, absolutely no reforging, etc. Mastery is a wicked stat when stat correctly. Once you are in ilvl 346's, heroics become a breeze.

So this setup can actually work? I was browing sound options when I discovered "Listen to this device" option. I read something about how USB soundcard can't interact with other sound devices. Not really sure if that would impact what I have in mind.

So I have a Logitech G35 which is great for PC gaming. However, PS3 does not support audio out through USB. So I was wondering, could I get the audio composite from the PS3, plug the adapter into my Mic port on my mobo onboard sound, then play that through to my Logitech G35? My computer is usually on so no problem for me. I am not keen on using 3.5 mm headphones as my iPod earbuds are pretty bad.

I'm not getting the game. I have World of Warcraft for my run of the mill hack and slash. Too much DLC for games these days, made me end my business with Bioware after Mass Effect 2.

Seeing how efficient it is at overclocking, would it be possible to see a unlocked chip for laptops? I'm more interested in mobile as I plan on buying a laptop soon.
