@Unfallen_Satan There is a European age rating, but there are also local laws in place, and therefore some region specific games are tuned. Yes, Germany is normally the main offender when censoring games, but it isn't normal for games to have a whole European release when there is some kind of censored element. I'm guessing Sony thought it wasn't a big deal (what was cut) and decided to save some bucks by making a single EU release version.
@Carpetfluff Even easier, release a day 1 region specific patch. That way the release cost is identical and users in countries without the censored contents can enjoy them.
Fair question for a company that hasn't pulled much in the form of innovation for the last 4 games. Bungie is a great studio, but I wouldn't call Destiny a dangerous investment by what we've seen so far.
@NoHyperbolePlz Personally, it's got nothing to do with what is cut or not. The simple fact of having censored content in a game and saying so 2 months after release is cheap. Saying this ahead would have helped to avoid the current sh*tstorm.
@Tixylixx I'd say that is more a political statement than anything else... Do you really think this would have changed in the slightest with the UK out of the EU?
