@DrBomberJack Ok, fair enough... but it's a bit excessive to throw death threats. More than a rant, I see it as the CM defending the team. Granted that this will spawn even more needless comments, but every now and then some people need to be told that they're behaving like pricks.
He has a point. But what is also true is that CoD responds to a larger demographic than most games, so I guess it's inevitable to get some more idiots on board than other games...
This kind of thing will suppose a problem for video game archiving now and in the future... There are plenty of problems enough with formats and platforms to worry about an unplayable game becasue the servers have been shut down.
In the future, how will it be possible to keep track of all these games if the only way to show people how they worked is via a video or memories?
An interesting debate... maybe if the devs permitted the creation of dedicated servers this could be avoided; or at the very least, allow an offline arena with bots Perfect Dark style.
Unlike cinema, we won't be able to have a record of all games for future generations. And that is a shame.
