@LeonRedfield334 @Imperiacommando Its not about enjoyment... its budget. If I buy a game on release it means less games for me. It's not that I don't want them, just can't afford them.
@yeah_28 That, or create a spinoff with other characters. There is only so much you can do with the current cast, and new additions haven't ticked. How about a game for William Birkin? A simple scientist in the Spencer mansion trying to get out? Hell, a proper game with Tofu... I don't know... maybe the best thing is for them to give the series a long rest.
@sirmoein I will never forget the Gamecube Resident Evil remake... Remake of an original game that improves and expands the original in every way possible. If you haven't tried it, I thoroughly recommend it.
@snkcapcom411 Consider that of all the titles you have named, the only original IPs are The Last of Us, Watch Dogs, Destiny and Injustice, and these 2 last ones are in a way spiritual successors of the games their studios developed previously. Even The Last of Us is sort of a gameplay/character evolution for Naughty Dog. I would like to see a bit more originality; no need to have groundbreaking ideas (after all, they don't grow on trees), but at least try to move the medium forward instead of looking at the past. I am hyped for Watch Dogs, but I'm wary... There are Shenmue 3 rumors again? I've been hearing them for the last 10 years... I hope they do it though. I'm still annoyed Sega left a supposed trilogy like that, especially after Shenmue 2's ending...

What? Even more? Digging your own grave there... I think the main culprit is the initial design and concept. Blaming disappointing sales on the studios is cheap and declares a serious lack of insight. When was the last time Capcom came out with an original IP that was good? Was it Dead Rising? Oh, and that was developed by Blue Castle...
Also, it is very indicative of a company when the best employees slowly get away from it...
