You really have to wonder how whoever greenlit these titles could not predict this. Judgement was presented in e3 and I've never seen such a lack of enthusiasm. Same goes for Ascension... MP? Why?
@4r0d0 @ChiefFreeman Elder Scrolls, Fallout and GTA? I mean, I like new IPs but these have spaced their releases enough to prevent franchise fatigue in my opinion. GTA is the youngest and that is a 1997 game...
@Elk @kagento For what I know, Criterion was keen to make a game in a different genre after Paradise, but everyone in EA knew that they would be the best option to make a NFS game. Maybe they finally got some slack :)
@Elk Personally, I think Criterion rescued the Need for Speed franchise. It might not have fully achieved from the sales point of view, partly because of franchise fatigue, but they brought Need for Speed back to quality.
Awesome! Can't wait to see what such a talented studio can bring to the table. Unfortunately this means that Need for Speed will return to Black Box...
