@turianshepard: Xbox 360, when I played Dark Souls, then on to PC for the most part.
And yes, I know that if I have a 360, I can go and get Demon's Souls. But I really don't have that much of an interest, my consoles are already either not working properly, or they have gathered so much dust that it's now a gray box with fluff on it.
@turianshepard: @Arkhalipso I tend to count Demon's Souls out, because that is A: A game I never really played and B: It was one of those games that was sort of an experiment, with Dark Souls pretty much perfecting the formula of the game that it was trying to make.
@thecman25: I don't know about that. Uncharted games? Eh, I can get the same experience out of Tomb Raider. The Last of Us? I can get a more gripping story from reading a choose-your-own-adventure book released from Tin Man Games on the Android Store, and those types of games have the most silliest things going on (There is one book where you are a stuffed bunny trying to survive the apocalypse, and I connected myself to that bunny a lot more than I could connect with the cast of The Last of Jizz)
Only exclusives that I like were the ones on the PS2, that being the Jack and Daxters, the Sly Coopers and the Ratchet and Clanks. Otherwise it's mostly PC gaming for me.
I am happy that Kojima has found his way out of Konami's grasp, and I wish him the best.
Although... I can't say the idea of "We are making a PS Exclusive" is a great notion, and at that point I add:
**** Playstation for taking all of the exciting games under exclusivity, especially Bloodborne who has a fussy fiance, keeping it away from all of it's friends! (That being the Souls games, who are cross-platform)
@Gelugon_baat: I think the main problem is that Starcraft 2 is probably one of those modern day RTS games that do it right. Not saying that there are other RTS games that do the idea of economy management really well, but they don't really advertise themselves as much, or they are trapped in the uncomfortable situation of being either really, really old, or being re-released with minor upgrades, like being on a higher resolution
Not to mention that many strategy games that are competent that come out are, alas, 4X games, and while there is an appeal for that, I don't want a 4X game, I want a game where I can manage resources and amass a proper army to lay waste on the enemy!
Oh well.. At least we have something to play... Warcraft 3, or turn on some older games.
@Gelugon_baat: I can't say I disagree with you. I personally find Starcraft 2 to be a bit meh compared to the other Blizzard RTS known as Warcraft, Warcraft 3 in particular (Being my first RTS game), which I found to have a stronger storyline to it, and also have a more enjoyable gameplay system to it (Being more of a melee-focused kind of game rather than amassing an army of burly shootie-guys, or have melee units serve as cannon fodder, excluding the Zealots because they were durable in the frontlines), but I welcome Starcraft 2 to the world, it's still a good game overall. It is pretty and enjoyable, but I still find myself looking at Warcraft 3 and say to myself "I sure wish I could play this Online".
I actually have the game, only it's graphics broke on me, so it's not really that playable anymore :(
@Cloud_imperium: Can't say that the campaigns were any long though. The entire game did build up hours played, but in the long run: So too does one long campaign in Starcraft 2 build up hours played, and gives a pretty good experience overall. Sometimes I even feel like that the story in Warcraft 3 with the campaigns felt a little rushed.
@Slannmage: That is because 99% of the time, whatever Blizzard releases is most likely going to be a good experience, and so far: Legacy of the Void is having me keep my headphones on, turned up loudly and I am enjoying myself
But I have to say, Blizzard is starting to stink with their more recent additions, that being Warlords of Draenor, Heroes of the Storm partially, and even Overwatch kinda lost my buzz seeing that it will be a paid game, and still kinda looks like a mash-up of Team Fortress 2 and a general Class-type game. Here's hoping that the future is at least bright enough so that Blizzard doesn't fall in to an abyss.
