I have to say, the game wasn't as disappointing as I expected it to be. One does have to take in consideration that the game was limited because of it's beta tag (So the slice of testing was smaller, in what seemed to be a larger game in total), and there were some alterations that involved leaving a bunch of things inaccessible or there being less gangs walking around, which in itself is rather disappointing since more content would have been great.

The shooting I found quite enjoyable, but once you find yourself a marksman rifle, many things don't seem to be as dangerous assuming you can get repeated headshots, so at some point the game turns quite easy (And I had greens on me with a few blue items after replaying the hospital mission several times). The enemies being somewhat sponge-like isn't that much of a problem in my eyes, since I see it as an RPG (Even Borderlands and the like had humans take several bullets to the face), and Tom Clancy's name on the cover is uhh.. Kinda misleading in that sense since Tom Clancy games are known for rather authentic gameplay.

I didn't manage to get in to the Dark Zone because I am not going to dangerous places alone, and knowing that shooting games plus PvP plus general community in games equals trigger happy people who would shoot you before you are able to say "I have this bag of goodies that I want to drop off". This actually does open up some opportunities of gangs being formed and then hang around in certain parts of the Dark Zone, which can lead to some very interesting stuff. I always wanted to Roleplay as a gunman in a gang, so this is perfect for me! Assuming you can find other equally nerdy players who do Roleplay (Hit me up if you're that nerd :D)

So, in conclusion to this rather poorly written first impression: I enjoyed the game, it could have had some more content to get a better impression of what is to come, the shooting is satisfying albeit can become easy with the proper guns and abilities (Trust me, get yourself the little turret and the healing bomb and you will be golden), and the Dark Zone is an intimidating place, but can become a hub for greatness if you get a bunch of people together and take control of sections, becoming the biggest and baddest street gang of the Dark Zone... Sounds fun actually...

Why am I not playing Destiny? Simple reason:

I see no value in buying a black box of either shape and size and brand, just so it can gather dust from no usage, and to have it just for one or two games.

PC's yo. They're more comfortable for shootie games.

@Ex1st3nz: Yes, Borderlands and Diablo and other RPG games have grind in them, but there is a key difference in it all... You know what it is?

That's right: They're fun, and they give you a feeling of being powerful, by putting up a lot of monsters in your way so you can either blow them up or shoot them to bits. Or at the very least leave substantial amount of loot for you to pick up, and for (At least in Diablo's sense) the endgame: Collecting items has a purpose to it.

I can't really say the same for Destiny or for The Division, but form what I gathered: Loot in both games is rather lackluster (And having only six slots within the Dark Zone sounds rather weaksauce as well for the grindy RPG game of collecting loot. And before you say that in other RPG games you also have limitations, at least in those games you can still collect a fair amount of items before you are unable to pick things up anymore.

So, in that respect, saying that The Division or Destiny aren't good is justified, especially if in those games you have only one or two beasts at a time to kill

I must ask still:

Was a Telltale Games based on Minecraft REALLY needed? I mean... It's Minecraft! A game that does not need a dedicated story to it, because players already make the story.

Okay... So a fashion magazine employed a digital, fantasy pink-haired bimbo to model for their clothes.

... I never thought I'd say this, but the world of fashion is stranger than the world of videogames is.

@Arkhalipso: The guy makes pretty accurate critiques on older games, so I am pretty confident he knows what he's talking about.

And what am I to do when I don't want to waste money on a console that would only get used for one or two games? Not watch them on Youtube?

@Arkhalipso: I have a PS2, do I qualify to be a PS Fanboy as well? Or, let us go even deeper...

If I played on both Xbox, Playstation and PC, am I.... A GAMER!?

OH MY GOD I AM A GAMER!
