gamecube for me. there were so many fun games. i played PS2 a lot when i first got it, but after a while i ended up using it just for a dvd player. i still occasionally break out my gamecube and play the games.
for me it's NES/SMS. those were the systems i grew up playing. i did play a little atari back in the day, but it isn't what pops into my head when i think of old school.
i agree. there is nothing more frustrating than mounting an upset victory only to have the other player leave the game before its over. i make every effort to complete online games even if i am losing badly. people these days don't like to lose--they can't handle it. their parents probably never taught them good sportsmanship and that sometimes people lose and thats okay.
i have the nyko charge station and its worked fine for the past year or so. maybe you just got a bad one? if mine stopped working, i would go with rechargeable duracells as well. i can't believe anybody would still buy disposables if they are using their controllers consistently. if you buy a charger, you will see a return on your investment in a short period of time.
starfox has been pretty consistent. they will most likely make a Wii version. not sure if they will go more towards the starfox adventures concept or the original starfox concept though. donkey kong has been so overdone that i wouldn't even be interested in a game unless it totally exceeded everyone's expectations.
