"It's not just a parent's obligation. I think the industry has to have a responsibility." -Last I checked, our rating system was more strongly enforced/followed than any other entertainment ratings system out there. Regulating what children do in their free time is -always- the parents responsibility, not the industry or the government.
"Jim Matheson has introduced a bill to Congress that would make Entertainment Software Rating Board ratings legally enforceable." -Keep the government out of the living room. I hate that parents are no longer responsible for their children. This kind of thing can be a slippery slope to parents being told exactly how to raise their children.
Also, stop saying that video games are marketed to children when the majority of gamers are adults. Games are marketed to the largest income sector, children are not the major demographic.
On another topic, what does one do if they like both video games and guns?
I got about half way through dark souls 2 before I moved on. I want to finish it but I don't have the time/energy to keep going. I'd be interested to see the numbers on how many people quit around the "half way" point or sooner.
There does need to be a game in the difficult realm. I just wish I had the time and patience to spend finishing the game.
@Gatchan2 @dragonherderx @buddybuk @freekedoutfish @ceromaster You'd be surprised at what one can do with a bag of nails and some household supplies. Guns are the topic of the day but crazy people will find a way to harm people if they snap in that direction. How many depends on their access to information.
All this is moot, however, as we don't properly enforce our current laws and we don't have the money to begin thinking about enforcing new ones.
