@Collie_Lover: Nintendo is just predictable as fck. Its like predicting that Mike Tyson is gonna try to knock you out. All the signs were there, you just have to see it.

@kazeswen: BUMP.
I called it from day one. Right on the dot.

@MrGeezer: Likewise, I generally get very upset when something that didn't feel like it was Zombies ends up being Zombies. I stopped watching Maze Runner when I found out that it was another Zombie flick, I literally walked out on the second film as soon as the Zombies showed up I asked for my money back, also I didn't watch Wayward Pines cause I heard it turns out to be about humanity evolving into Zombies.
When something is over saturated it can be a drag. It also ruins what may have been good stories. I think both Maze Runner and Wayward Pines could have been really great stories if the writers didn't fallback to the old Zombie plotline.
I'm completely with you on that, I avoid all things Zombies nowadays. Sad thing is I remember back in the days when Zombie flicks were few and far between and things like 28 Days Later really got me excited.
@brn-dn: Is Aiden a real name or just something hipsters made up.
@uninspiredcup: Did it? Didn't it have a like a insanely high budget and did poorly in sales.
With Nintendo combining its handheld and home console studios into one, they can deliver a massive amount of 1st party games for the system. No one comes close to the diversity and output of games like Nintendo releases.
Add this on top of games like Monster Hunter, Phoenix Wright, and Dragon Warrior, etc. Nintendo can lure more to that system also. Can maybe get Chinatown Wars 2 and other third party stuff.
Dragon Warrior LOL. It hasn't been called Dragon Warrior since MC Hammer was cool. LOL Dragon Warrior. Also the IP belongs to Square Enix not Nintendo.
I think the idea of combining Handheld and Console under one roof makes sense, but I'm a little worried about the quality of the games that will get released, are we to expect 3DS caliber games on Home Console now? Sounds interesting but difficult to execute.
@kazeswen: most modern kids (who are the target market for most game companies) do not like to think. They realised that MOST kids would rather have dramatic fights where they just mindlessly hack down enemies rather than a slow turn based rpgs that require lots of thought and planning. That is why fps games like cod are very famous among kids, they are games that dont require you to think or plan. They just put you into the middle of a battlefield and tell you to fight. No thinking necessary.
Yeah that sounds about right. So, sad cause I skipped a lot of what may have been descent RPGs due to the auto combat system. I played FF XIII, hated it so much, that I skipped FFXIII-2 Lightning Returns and may skip FFXV as well if it uses the same auto combat as FFXIII
@Ish_basic: Yeah that's what I'm talking about. Now more of these with bigger budgets. C'mon Square.
@MarcRecon: "Why are all these damn kids running in a Maze?"
"Humanity has turned into Zombies an we need strapping young boys and girls to run around in a maze to find a cure.....Ok (Only in America)
Longer. If you look at the golden age of gaming, its always when the console gens were absurdly long.
SNES, PS2, PS3 all considered golden era, all had absurdly long console generation.
Crono Trigger came out in the fifth year of SNES's life cycle, according to OP, there would be no Crono Trigger.
The longer the hardware remains static, the more creative developers can get with the hardware, rather than chasing the tech, they settle down and simply concentrate on the creative aspect of game design. When you are busy chasing the tech, the games suffer. I.E The Order on PS4 is so technically advanced that no other game has managed to reach its visual fidelity, but the game's content suffered from being so advanced visually.
