by the way, i can play windows media player videos if I they download in that format. however, if i take a real player video and tell it to play as a windows media player video, it won't play.

I have a new computer and downloaded the most recent version of real player. when i download a video and try to play it (actually this happens for all real plaer videos) it says that 'real player needs to download new software to play this clip" but I click it and it says there is no software download to play this content. i've even tried older versions of real player and it doesn't work.

in my previous computer, i was always able to play these same videos what should i do? pls be specific thanks

sorry, I meant winrar, that's what I've been using.. I will also download that 7zip or whatever it's called.

I will follow the directions the person above shared. tell me if anyone else has any other ideas, please.

I never had a problem downloading videos before in windows XP, but I just started using vista. I created a folder and several subfolders and downloaded lots of videos into the last subfolder using rapidshare.

I cannot access the last subfolder when I open the C drive--it shows a couple of the subfolders I created but not the LAST one where I downloaded the videos! The only way for me to find the videos is to go to the window which opens up when I use rapidshare to download--it shows the subfolder I created and all the videos I downloaded, and allows me to play videosfrom there.I can't even copy the videos and paste them into another folder!

Is this an admin issue which only shows several of the 'public' folders I created, but not the final folder for some reason? How can I download into a folder I create, and have it visible from the C drive along with all the other folders already there? How can I copy the videos I downloaded into this folder? PLEASE be very specific as I dont know my way around Vista!!!

Also, I have winzip, but when I click on one of the winzip files I downloaded, it gives me error messages. Is it because I can't use winzip in this 'secret' folder? What do I do? THANKS

Basically, I don't want any folders to be hidden or require admin access (personal home computer). I just want it the way XP did it!

digitalstorm is selling a i7 920 gtx 285 (the i7 920 is overclocked to 3.0ghz) for the same price as a comp sold by a vendor i don't trust as much (ibuypower) which has a non overclocked i7920 gtx 295. i don't want to overclock bc I'm a newbie.

the digitalstorm comp is Base Specifications:
Intel Core i7 920 Processor
Overclocked to 3.06Ghz
6GB DDR3 System Memory
Intel X58 Chipset Motherboard
NVIDIA GTX 285 Video Card
750W PC Power & Cooling
1TB Western Digital HDD

my question: would there be much of a difference between these two comps in games like crysis? I'd rather go with the digitalstorm unless the gtx295 card would be clearly superior. thanks
